As a player who is opposed to playing blue, black is the best way to play control. As a green player at heart, big mana, and mana ramp are hugely important to me, so this deck is full of ways to generate huge amounts of mana, and sinking it into permanents. This deck looks to control the board state, and has at least one counter to almost every strategy. The few tutors in this deck up its consistency. I recommend using tutors to find answers, not combos, but I realize that is an option. I look to play the long game, and blow out weakened opponents with a massive exsanguinate, or torment of hailfire. A good backup plan in this deck is beating face with massive utility creatures, and even Erebos himself. Erebos is not essential to this deck's gameplay, but his draw ability is reliable, and his static ability is not irrelevant. I love this deck, and its playable in a meta ranging from focused to tuned decks (I personally view this deck as somewhere between a 7 and an 8). This is my pet deck, and I hope that you enjoy its complex gameplay, and various strategies it holds!
