Just a Boros commander who cares about the combat step

Please note that I use the sideboard for cards I'm looking to slot in, and the maybeboard for cards that I've removed for now.

Boros has always had one niche in EDH and one niche only - the combat step. Nearly every pre-Dominaria Boros commander has had some form of combat step interaction, between creature pump/anthems, tokens, or other effects relating to combat. Dominaria brought us card:Firesong and Sunsinger, which introduced the first Boros commander who is entirely unrelated to combat, but it also brought us our favourite member of the Serenity crew, Kaylee , who still represents a Boros combat commander, but one who focuses on our enemies' combat step, rather than ours. Specifically, Tiana wants us to enchant our opposing creatures with auras that restrict them from attacking us, or even attacking at all. We can use these Auras to make political deals and control the board until we win by going wide with tokens , pumping our board, going tall and beating face with our commander, or by comboing off with Breath of Fury + Elemental Mastery or Breath of Fury + Splinter Twin . Before then, we get lots of value by sacrificing and recasting auras to make use of EtB and sacrifice triggers to prop ourselves up.

This is a solid enough plan on paper, so let's justify some of the cards used to get us there:

Our control pieces: Show

First, our main creature control auras:

• Bound by Moonsilver : Does a lot of work here. We lock down a creature, with the added niche bonus of stopping it from transforming (for all of you who have a dominant card:Ullrich of the Krallenhorde deck in your meta). We can reattach it to any more menacing creature that comes down after this. If offers a free sac outlet for our auras. It's one of the best cards in this deck for that last vital point, and is definitely a staple of Tiana decks anywhere/
• Laccolith Rig : A bit of an odd creature lockdown, this lets us enchant our opponent's most spooky creature and turn it into a reasonable removal tool - enchant the biggest thing on the board, and block it if it comes your way. Use Laccolith Rig to blow up the second biggest thing. Lather, rinse, repeat. Furthermore, you can choose to not do this if that same creature comes at an opponent, and use it as a form of leverage. Politics!
• Oppressive Rays : Putting a hefty tax on an enemy creature for it doing anything is usually as good as fully restricting it from doing things until the late game. For one mana, that's a pretty good deal.
• Spirit Link : Contrary to first impressions, this does not give the creature lifelink. Rather, this nets us life when an opposing creature does damage. Great for neutering a Nekusar the Mind Razer|Nekusar, or just a big beater in general. Note that if their commander does damage to you with this on them, they still do that amount of commander damage even when you get healed, so avoid that.
• Darksteel Mutation : Solid even outside of this deck. Zurgo Helmsmasher is much less threatening when he's just a bug, even if he's indestructible all the time.
• Chained to the Rocks : Aura O-Ring is an unusual find, but we have it nevertheless. For one mana, even.
• Faith Unbroken : Redundancy, which we can put on a creature and recur to retarget.
• Calming Licid : Licids are just weird, but they deserve love, too. Tiana sees an aura-licid as an aura, so it comes back to han if destroyed when enchanting a creature, but being able to reuse a Pacifism is, as mentioned before, huge.
• Flowstone Blade : Like the Vows above, this is a political tool. We can pump their dude to get them to go anywhere else, or just kill it if needed. All for one mana!
• Weight of Conscience : Like above, eventually stops things permanently. This one's more conditional, however, because we need to have started going wide to use its exile ability

Noncreatures deserve as much attention as creatures do:

• Soul Tithe : This card does hard work. It's hard to keep value pieces around when you have to keep paying for them, and we can just replay this when they either stop paying the cost or blow it up. Fantastic!
• Frenzied Fugue : Sure, you can play something valuable...if we get to use it as well. Surprisingly, people don't want their value engines or mana rocks stolen, but it's nice of them to provide them anyways :)
• Steam Vines : Pull this if you or your playgroup hates land destruction. This lets us hold a powerful land like a Cradle hostage, and introduces a new political tool into the game. The threat of a spite Vines is an interesting one, and is as hilarious as it is potent.
• Mortal Obstinacy , Flamespeaker's Will : All of these offer repeatable ways to remove problematic enchantments or artifacts, for minimal mana.
• Faith's Fetters : We lock down anything for things that aren't mana abilities. We can restrict a Trading Post , or a problematic planeswalker, or anything. The four life is neat, too.
• Curse of Exhaustion : So, curses are auras. Put this on the storm player, forget about them.

Then we have our support pieces: Show

Our aura support:

• Sage's Reverie : Lets us draw many, many cards when played later on, and helps us win with it, When recurred, we can actually draw more cards on average than the blue player (assuming no infinite mana into Blue Sun's Zenith or similar). In Boros.
• Dragon Mantle : Draws a card on EtB. We don't really care about the firebreathing, but drawing a card on entry is big.
• Angelic Gift : See above.
• Pentarch Ward : And above, with some protection.
• Unquestioned Authority : You get the idea/
• Lunarch Mantle : Another aura that can sac auras. Redundancy is key, after all.
• Eland Umbra , Felidar Umbra : Totem Armor is fantastic for protecting our things, as Tiana can fetch them back at EoT, and other cards get them back anyways.
• Ordeal of Heliod : Whenever we sacrifice this, we get 10 life. Believe me, we can sacrifice this over and over and over again.
• Indestructibility , Shielded by Faith : More protection for our dudes (and dudettes).
• Pariah : Ridiculous. Creature removal and fogging all at once is insane when recurrable.
• Flickerform : Plays really nice with EtB effects like Sage's Reverie, Auramancer, etc. Also plays really nice with Brood Keeper - the auras re-enter the battlefield attached to the Keeper, so we get more dragons. Yay!

And we have some cards that support our auras:

• Sram, Senior Edificer , Kor Spiritdancer , Mesa Enchantress : Card draw isn't Boros' strong point, and these certainly help shore that weakness up well.
• Danitha Capashen, Paragon , Hero of Iroas : We don't have too much artifact ramp, but creature ramp is fine too.
• Nomad Mythmaker : Directly recurs our auras while Tiana's unavailable. Bonus points for it letting us steal our opponents' dead auras too.
• Heliod's Pilgrim : Lets us tutor for an aura we need, plain and simple.
• Auramancer : Lets us recur an aura, plain and simple.
• Faith Healer : A sac outlet for our auras. yay!
• Crystal Chimes : Lets us recur all of our auras, plain and simple.
• Open the Armory , Three Dreams : Tutor for what we need, plain and you get the idea.
• Retether , card:Open the Vault: Lets us recur our auras.
• Hour of Revelation , Cleansing Meditation , Akroma's Vengeance : If we blow up our auras at the same time as Tiana, she still brings them back. Cleansing Meditation lets us reuse our aura etb effects, which is great too.
• Sphere of Safety : Sometimes politics fail us. So, just in case, we have a bubble.
• Sigarda's Aid : Of course.

And now for the rest: Show

Our wincons:

• Eidolon of Countless Battles , Ethereal Armor , Helm of the Gods : Put these on Tiana, with with commander damage. Or just hit hard enough with a little dude, that works too.
• Sigil of the Empty Throne , Brood Keeper , Ajani's Chosen : Our other strategy lets us go wide, with Celestial Ancient supporting us in this endeavour.
• Breath of Fury + Splinter Twin , Breath of Fury + Elemental Mastery : Infinite combo lets us get infinite combat steps and hopefully infinite damage. Splinter Twin serves double duty as value, letting us get EtB effects like Auramancer or Heliods Pilgrim.

And the Rest:

Sol Ring : Of course.

Mind Stone , Commander's Sphere , Boros Signet , Fellwar Stone : Artifact ramp is still important.

Dowsing Dagger  , Sword of the Animist : ...especially when it's on an equpiment.

Tormod's Crypt , Scavenger Grounds : When will Wizards print a grave hate aura? For now, we have to use these as grave hate. Feel free to increase this in metas full of Muldrotha and Meren s.

Curse of Opulence : Ramp on an aura is fantastic.

Shadowspear : Can't enchant things we can't target, usually. This helps for that, and the extra lifegain can be kinda neato.

Please note that I'm still looking for four cards to trim to make this deck legal - on the chopping block is Brood Keeper and Celestial Ancient . Brood Keeper can be explosive, but can also be a very dead draw, while I don't know if this deck goes wide enough for Celestial Ancient to really be worth it. Otherwise, any other advice you have is appreciated :).
