Alright, so there is a lot in this deck I can talk about.

First of all, let me appologize for it being so messy with foils and alternate languages... But this is my exact deck I run and I am working on promo/foiling it out, so I am using this website to track my progress.

Now, back to business!

Avacyn, Angel of Hope is a GREAT commander when built around correctly, however, due to mana costs, hate from exile effects, and other situations, you want to be able to win without casting her if need be. A lot of people try to take a very "gimicky" approach of either "Destroy ALL the Things!!!" or "Play ALL the Angels!!!" My approach is more rounded, and I feel more competitive then the other popular routes. Thanks for reading!

The deck ramps pretty hard, has threats across all stages of the game, and tries to control the game with state-based effects and creatures, target removal and one-sided (or near one-sided) board wipes to clear multiple threats before coming online. However, you also can also simply board-wipe when you are too far behind or are about to win off of a certain condition that would survive the wipe. Of course, Ravages of War/Armageddon and/or Wrath effects with Avacyn out do tend to end the game quite nicely.

There are some niche cards/combos I would like to highlight, but there are SO many more cool interactions that I recommend playing some games with it to really see how it runs.

Avacyn, Angel of Hope+ Stonehewer Giant: This seems pretty simple, but people still don't always expect it until they have been on the wrong end of it. If you have both these dudes out and swing with everything you've got at the player with the least blockers, hopefully one dude will get through. Before moving to damage phase, activate Stonehewer Giant and bring in Worldslayer to the unblocked creature. You win.

Curse of Exhaustion is such a powerhouse in a format like EDH. It stops combo players from combing out in a lot of situations, as well as gives you a huge advantage in 1v1 situations. Definitely an all star in a lot of match ups.

Ravages of War/Armageddon are both absolute power houses! You don't care about destroying your own land if you are ahead. If at any point of the game, your board is good enough to win assuming nothing else could change, you should be casting these!

Wrath of God (and similar effects) are great for two reasons. 1: when you are behind2: when you have planswalkers on board. It's the ultimate way to protect them long enough to let them ult.

Stoneforge Mystic is obviously great for grabbing Worldslayer when you know it can end the game, or Batterskull for extra life and value plays, but more importantly, it can grab Sword of Fire and Ice, Sword of Feast and Famine, and Sword of Body and Mind . These are all powerhouses of on hit effects that make any creature a threat with protection. Situationally, they become even better, which makes Stoneforge Mystic the perfect fit.

Mana Rocks In general are Key staples in EDH, especially with an 8 drop commander. I want to get a Mana Crypt to make turn two Felidar Soverign or Avacyn, Angel of Hope a possibility, but until then, casting them turn three is as good as it gets. Also, mana rocks makes Entreat the Angels and Luminarch Ascension all the more threatening.

Sword of Kaldra is definitely a card that deserves some attention, as it doesn't seem to fit into the deck as well as some other cards. However, it is a saving grace when you need just a sheer power boost, or to get around an a oppnents indestructiblity. (Yes, people love to try to steal Avacyn, Angel of Hope from me, jerks...). It also works well with life link dudes to help Felidar Soverign win the game out of no where. Honestly, this might be the next card coming out if they print more good cards, but for now, it made the cut (pun intended).

Please feel free to ask questions or post comments! I have worked very hard on this deck and am very proud of it, but it is constantly evolving as needed. I hope you can enjoy this deck as much as I do!
