Maybeboard

My very first totally-original deck build was Kozilek, the Great Distortionso it's only proper I build a deck around the newly-focused tribe notorious for felling countless Eldrazi foes - Squirrels.

  • Chatterfang, Squirrel General + Pitiless Plunderer - This combo is an interesting one which allows you to effectively use Chatterfang's last ability as many times as you want to wipe the entire board, since the Plunderer and Chatterfang work together to recreate the squirrel tokens sacrificed while also generating treasures. With a token doubler, I'm fairly certain this can generate infinite tokens, though the combo is one I haven't tested too much.
  • Chatterfang, Squirrel General + Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth - Due to Chatterfang's innate Forestwalk, Yavimaya turns all lands into forests to make him unblockable.
  • Conjurer's Closet + Deep Forest Hermit - This synergy combo allows you to refresh the Vanishing counters on the Hermit, both repeatedly generating you squirrel tokens while also keeping the Hermit around to buff them.
  • Druid's Call + Toski, Bearer of Secrets - Toski already has to attack each combat if able and is indestructible already, so this enchantment combo guarantees value: you either draw a card when Toski connects or most likely generate at least one squirrel token if Toski is blocked.
  • Cabal Coffers + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth - Everybody and their uncle knows this combo, generate a ton of black mana off Coffers since all of your lands are considered Swamps.
  • Ivy Lane Denizen + Scurry Oak - Whenever you have a green creature enter you can use the Denizen to put a counter on the Oak, which then makes a green Squirrel which triggers the Denizen once more. With Chatterfang as well, you'll get two counters, so you can put one onto the Oak and the other onto Chatterfang himself until you're content with the size of your army and your commander.
