While havin Chatterfang out, Emrakul's Evangel is a nice token duplicator.

If your playgroup allows silver boarded cards Earl of Squirrel is a fine addition.

Nice deck! I like to see Earl of Squirrel getting some play :) Have you thought about Intruder Alarm and Dryad Arbor? It would require a blue splash (and some money), but with Squirrel Nest it makes infinite squirrels. One of my favourite combos from back in the day :)

Finally we get some squirrel suppport. Currently I'm working on a squirrel deck too - even if i know, that it will be a more... meme-like or fun-deck than somewhat competitive. I saw, you're suggest using Earl of Squirrel , so your playgroup doesn't mind using Silver Bordereds? Then I have a few silver bordered suggestions: Acornelia, Fashionable Filcher - pump effect and cute acorn-counter Squirrel Dealer - Funny card though Squirrel Farm - funny token creator

Scurry Oak - can go nuts with Ivy Lane Denizen ... get it? it goes nuts :D

Vanquisher's Banner - anthem and draw effect

Realmwalker - plays Top-cards and counts as a squirrel

Witch's Oven Sac-Outlet and the food-token generates a new Squirrel with Chatterfang

Sorry for doubleposting, but i can't edit for some reason... if your playgroup doesn't mind plaing Silverbordered or Cards from Un-Sets, Squirrel Dealer , Acornelia, Fashionable Filcher or Earl of Squirrel would be some nice and flavourful additions.

If squirrels really were the most iconic creatures Magic has to offer, someone would have brought them up in this topic before minotaurs '^^

I'm familiar with the squirrel meme (who would win? An interdimensional god-being who devours planes of existence for sustenance, or 15 flying squirrels?) But that, and the Earthcraft + Squirrel Nest combo are the only real impact they made on the game until Toski, Bearer of Secrets . Fan-favourite? Agreed. Meme'd into the ground by Un-sets? True. But the most iconic creature type in magic? If you'd ask a random person not playing M:tG what creatures you'd control in a fantasy game like this, you'd really think they'd say Squirrels over Elves and Goblins? I've been familiar with Magic since 2006, and before Earl of Squirrel I had no idea of the squirrel memes. I respectfully disagree with your observation '^^

Squirrels didn't have a single named character until 2020 with Acornelia, Fashionable Filcher in Unsanctioned, and didn't get a black-bordered named character until almost a year later with Toski, Bearer of Secrets .

Squirrels are one of if not the single most Iconic MtG creature types. If you've played the game for very long at all, chances are you've heard the tales of the exploits of 15 flying squirrels, you've probably met one of the people at every LGS that has a squirrel EDH deck helmed by Earl of Squirrel , and you might have even built a squirrel deck yourself.
