Wanted to bring back an old school synergy I had using Cunning Wish + Elephant Ambush , but with current Modern format, it's no longer possible. So I have taken a slightly different approach. The deck primarily synergizes around Mirari

Control the board with counters and destruction.

Create creatures via spells and duplicate them on opponent's turn.

Really hindered by lack of mana and no Mirari's Wake or Temple of the False God. Open to any suggestions to cards that would be useful and things to make the deck a little faster.

Debating if pain lands are better than fetch lands or not? Ideas?

EDIT (Oct 2016):

• • Added Birds of Paradise to help mana ramp. Would Noble Hierarch be a better option? Has colors but not sure if flying or +1/+1 attacking is better. Maybe 2 of each?
• • Added Garruk Wildspeaker for more stability and token creation. Also mana help.
• • Added Mana Reflection to help in lack of Mirari's Wake.
• • Counterspell still isn't legal so diversified the countering... open to suggestions. Goal was to diversify the mana costs and try to fill the gaps with the utility that some provide like Rewind or Render Silent . Really considering Rune Snag
• • Added Call of the Herd in place of Call of the Conclave . Thinking better mana diversity (although 1 more) but has flashback.
• • Added Biomass Mutation for mana ramp finish option. Works if instant token creation on opponent turn, pump for damage after a Cryptic Command taps for open attack.
• • Added Sphinx's Revelation in place of Preordain as no longer legal.
