Everything you've said about Trostani is definitely true but applies equally to Advent of the Wurm , except wurms also get hit by Abrupt Decay , non-revolt Fatal Push , and any Unsummon or O-Ring effects. The reality is that at 4 mana, neither of these cards is viable in a competitive modern environment. If your meta is cutthroat enough to see that much single-target removal flying around, I'd recommend going into black to run spirit tokens ( Spectral Procession , Lingering Souls , Kaya's Guile , etc.) which are generally better than populate staples like Call of the Conclave , Selesnya Charm , and Wake the Reflections , especially if you lean into anthems like Intangible Virtue , Leyline of the Meek , Force of Virtue , and so on. You're already pretty far in that direction anyway by running Legion's Landing  Flip and Gather the Townsfolk . Those were more the cards I was thinking of cutting for a singleton Trostani or Ranks. Definitely don't cut March, as it's pretty great as a finisher. (I had a lot of fun messing around with it and Harmonious Archon in standard pre-lockdown. XD) Also, regardless of which colors you prefer, Timely Reinforcements is a classic sideboard option against burn that also loves playing with Virtue.

I would change the GW “big bolstered butts” to a more value-style Selesnya deck. There are way too many to even list here but I’ll go for some haha

I actually recently built a cube with some of the same themes as yours such as WB Tokens, UW control, UG ramp, and Izzet Spells matter (but I call mine counter burn)

Hey NiftyCheshireCat, some of my favorite token cards are those with dual purpose. Artifact Mutation and Aura Mutation fit that bill and can act as good counters if you feel the need for them.

Advent of the Wurm, Gelatinous Genesis, and March of the Multitudes are other nice options. I'd also recommend taking a look at Bramble Sovereign whose copying ability could be really fun.

I have to say Advent of the Wurm has surprisingly clutch. Having an instant cast 5/5 trampler has felt great for the “fake haste” of casting end of opponents turn plus the target for a very strong populate.

I agree Rishkar's Expertise is a must

You could swap Zendikar Resurgent for Mirari's Wake. Its higher CMC, but adds card draw.

I think Solemn Simulacrum is a cut. You have better options for ramp and draw in Naya than that.

I'm not sure on Advent of the Wurm. What about Sandwurm Convergence instead?

Rishkar's Expertise is good draw if you have fatties on the board. Guardian Project is also stellar.

You could go away from the signets for more land ramp, or cards like Wild Growth and Fertile Ground, which are criminally underplayed.

I would go for more big token producers. Crested Sunmare should be really good with Trostani. Also things like Advent of the Wurm, Angelic Accord, Beast Attack, etc.

The two I commented on are musts in in any Trostani deck in my opinion. The others would be strong additions.

You need creature tokens if you want to populate - Call of the Conclave , Advent of the Wurm , etc. Check out $5 Selesnya Tokens for some budget ideas.
