I also felt like The poachers was the weaker of the two decks mainly because all of the removal only basically starts on turn 4 and the creatures you're putting out aren't as big. The reason I didn't make this a "beast" deck was because I didn't feel it was specific enough so I looked at elephants, rhinos, crocodiles, snakes and the like and steered clear of soldiers, shamans, monks and other subtypes which was a tough restriction lol. (and yes there are 16 creatures but there's also Call of the Herd). You're right about Africa being a huge place so is there a more specific region you would refer to?

It's a good start. Removal in green is very hard to find so I like the small touches.
However, something about commander is you always want to have some sort of interaction with your general. It's certainly not necessary but with Multani, I think it's more fun. If you get some card draw in your deck, it would work really well with him.
Try Howling Mine, Font of Mythos, Collective Unconscious, Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury, Garruk, Primal Hunter, Glimpse of Nature, Heartwood Storyteller, Fecundity, Primordial Sage, Regal Force, Rites of Flourishing, Shamanic Revelation, Soul of the Harvest, Triumph of Ferocity or Zendikar Resurgent.
Another important thing in commander is a solid mana base. Running 38 Forests is not all bad but you want some more interaction with your deck. Oran-Rief, the Vastwood and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx would go really well in your deck. You might also want to consider a Sol Ring and Gilded Lotus because those are commander staples.
Now, what to cut.
Let's start with creatures. One thing you have to think about when casting any kind of spell in a commander game is, "Is this spell worth the mana cost?" and "Does this spell have any kind of interaction in my deck?".
In my opinion, these are the creatures you need to cut. To the right of each, I will put some substitutes:
Shoe Tree ... This is illegal in commander.
A lot of the creatures you have just don't have much synergy in your deck. Cut them and try out the other recommendations I've given you thus far.
Other cards to cut with recommendations:
Call of the Herd ... Not really worth it unless you're running a token deck which you are not.
TL;DR I like your deck. It's a good first time commander deck. Try to cut some of the creatures out that don't have any synergy with it. Card draw would go well with your deck. Mono green always has ramp.

Greater Good is something you could remove as you wont have many cards for it and it will just be a discard machine.
Hushwing Gryff or Torpor Orb could be removed I would suggest Hushwing Gryff unless locally there is a lot of etb effects you probably dont need both.
Ooze Garden could be removed it would be more useful if it could be used as an interrupt.
Elephant Guide could be removed it is not that powerful in commander.
Haunted Cloak could be removed it is ok but once again not that strong in commander especially in a token deck.
I would replaceSelesnya Evangel with Jade Mage.
I would suggest Explosive Vegetation over Skyshroud Claim because you are in two colors.
Beast Attack is another thing you could remove as it cost alot of mana.
instead of Nature's Lore you could put in Rampant Growth as you could grab white with it.
Call of the Herd is another possibility. other than that I would say you could drop some mana rocks as you dont need to much mana with a 3 avg cmc. That is all I really am gonna say just don't take everything I say as stone if you like something put it in there because you like it not because someone told you too. Nice deck btw

The issue isn't the Twin matchup. This deck just doesn't work quickly enough for Modern. Look at your mana curve - you have more 4-mana spells than 1s, 2s, or 3s - that's basically the opposite of where you want to be in terms of flexibility and speed. I spent some time building and playing BGW tokens, and it was decent. Assuming you don't want to run black (though it's worth the splash just for Lingering Souls), here's some cards that may help you out:
Voice of Resurgence was basically the all-star of my BGW deck. Gavony Township was an obvious inclusion, Pendelhaven was alright as well. Raise the Alarm is a must. Fists of Ironwood might work okay, if you must stick to the 2 colors, but it's marginal. Rancor can give you considerably improved speed when needed. If you can work out the manabase needed, Spectral Procession is better than Midnight Haunting. Selesnya Evangel isn't amazing, but she's a better recurring token producer than some of the stuff you have with high activation cost. Selesnya Charm could be useful as a utility card. Timely Reinforcements is maybe the best sideboard card in Token decks.
As for stuff you've already got: Mainboard Path to Exile, you need it. Run 4X Intangible Virtue, no question. Rhys and Parallel Lives aren't crazy, but I wouldn't run more than 2-of either, and I would cut most of the other stuff that costs more than 3 mana. Wayfaring Temple is better out of the sideboard, because opponents will remove some/all targeted removal against tokens.
If you don't love the sound of the style of deck i'm getting at and really want the populate effects, I would focus on getting value of those effects, using stuff like Call of the Herd, Call of the Conclave, and Advent of the Wurm with Wake the Reflections, Druid's Deliverance, or Rootborn Defenses.
But the bottom line is that you can't expect to consistently beat Twin with anything that resembles "GW Tokens." There's a reason more people play Twin. It's good. With a decent deck and a bunch of practice playing the matchup, you'll definitely get better, but I don't think you'll ever be favored. Even the tiered version of BW Tokens has a very hard time against Twin, and they have better creature removal for Exarch, great hand disruption, and similar interaction with enchantments.
