Custom card: Raul of the Radiant Lantern

Protection from Black. At the beginning of each player's end step, that player taps all lands they control. For each land tapped this way, its controller adds . Whenever unused mana empties from a player's mana pool, Raul deals 1 damage to that player for each mana emptied.

A couple of friends and I tried to design a really sick Boros commander. We wanted to avoid doing an aggro/creature strategy and opted for burn. Burn is notoriously bad in EDH, but there would be one way to make it a lot better. Bring back Mana Burn. Many players play multiple mana doubling effects, as well as heavy artifact ramp, and there are also those players who play a draw-go strategy, leaving up tons of mana. By forcing players to tap down, as well as add mana to their mana pool, players take huge swaths of damage.

The deck I built around him functions as both a punisher deck, and a Stuffy Doll/Pariah deck. All the wraths deal damage to creatures, and Repercussion is a house.
