So this is the first deck I've ever built. I juts recently started play magic with my house mate, BF and their friends and with a little of their help I've created this fun Merfolk/elvish centered deck. The first Two decks I've ever played were a Mono Green and a Mono Blue deck my house mate built himself. I LOVED them, so I picked my favorites from both of these decks and made this one. I tend to give the long or unpronounceable names weird nick names. For example my commander Momir Vig. Simic Visonary is Momo.

So This commander is a creature drawing feind- so I went heavy on the creatures and this is great for getting my big bois into play quickly. This allowes me to pull out blue/green cards, and to be able to plot my next move. The wishful thinking for every game I've played it to get Elvish Piper, Createrhoof Behmoth (Big Lizard boi), Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle (Sleepy Boi) in your hand. First comes Elvish piper helps you pull out your two main Big Bois for the cost of ONE MANA. You wanna get Sleepy Boi out asap, so you can wake him up. The best thing about Sleepy Boi is that while you have counters on him you can use him as a blue/green land, and with my luck ITS NEEDED AS A LAND. When the sleepy counters come off, you have a 12/12, plus you hit them with that Big Lizard Boi, and hopefully you have an absurd ammount of creatures out on the battlefeild thanks to good ole Mr. Momo helping you search for the cards you need. I lined most of the deck with merfolk that ive you +1/+1 counters to beef them up, same goes for the elves. Its just fun to start slapping down these lil bois and gorls and beefing them up.

If anyone has any suggestions about any cards that would combo well with the rest of the deck, or can spot any that would be AWESOME. I tend to have big picture visualizing issues and always appreciate suggestions to better my game.

So while in a fury against my SO playing a causal game at home, I discovered something wonderful. He was playing his blue/black deck with Sword of Body and Mind equipped, I have discovered my newest favorite mill combo- Drowner of Secrets + Seedborn Muse + Tajuru Preserver Since I had only lil weenie merfolk out that could not get get through, plus my SO having protection against MY ENTIRE DECK equipped to his commander, there was no way I could get through. BUT I did manage to make him mill nearly his entire deck. With Seedborn muse I as able to untap all of my mana and merfolk during each player's upkeep, and then tap all my merfolk thanks to Drowner of Secrets during everyone's turn allowing me to tap all my merfolk and make him mill 4-6 cards every-time. Also, having Tarjuru preserver out kept him from making me sacrifice my creatures- which is always a must since he has multiple cards that make me wipe my board. He hated it, I hated him ( in the moment), It helped me survive long enough to get Craterhoof Behemoth out to end his misery.
