Kali Kula, Family of the Dark Goddess

Commander / EDH

Kali is one of many Hindu Goddesses, who in Shaktism represents wisdom and liberty. Alesha represents both of these aspects, and channels Kali's role as a warrior goddess through an aggro-reanimator playstyle. Kali is outwardly frightening - black skin, sharp teeth, clothing made from severed limbs - but is inwardly a loving, motherly figure. Again, aggro-reanimator expresses the fearsomeness through the constant damage output and the lovingness through reanimating her children.

The cult of Kali see the Devi (supreme goddess) as providing wisdom (vidya) and liberation (moksha). Kali wishes to free us from our karmic chains (samskara) and lift the illusions (maya) from our eyes. Naturally, in order to punch through to victory, she withdraws her blessings from the enemy, so that they fall to the samskara and maya.

Kali comes into our lives in a very noticeable way - as an avatar of destruction, we can feel the energy she imparts. Once she has done her duty though, every killing and act of destruction she commits is forgiven - we are left with a blank slate, ready to fight again.

I don't have many nonbasics in my meta, but there are plenty of creatures. It's kind of a no-brainer here.
