So imagine taking a 15 card sideboard full of deck hosing cards and then building that sideboard into a full 60 card deck. In a nutshell, that's what this deck is. But it didn't start out that way.

I've tried about seven entirely different decks in an attempt to build a deck around Fade Away . It's not a great card, but I thought the effect was unique enough to try to make something of it. Separately, throughout my entirety of playing Magic, I've tried to build decks using Circles of Protection but they mostly all failed horribly. This deck didn't come together until I realized how they complemented each other. COPs can't handle lots of threats. Fade Away can only reduce the number of threats. Presto!

Well, not quite. There's a lot more going on here, but that combination is the key premise. I use Muddle the Mixture and Drift of Phantasms to transmute into whatever I need. Everything else is a mix of things necessary to stave off losing and hopefully grind to a win with Guardian of the Guildpact .
