Zurgo is here and he wants you dead, no matter what! Even if the world around him collapses, he will do anything to crash your skull. The goal of the deck is simple, get Zurgo out, rush for commander damage by destroying everything on the board, over and over.

I made custom categories and will explain my choices at large:

  • Land: self explanatory. I do not put my lands into categories to always have a clear view of my mana. As I have many decks, they tend to be mainly basic lands as I would not have the money to buy expensive lands for all of my casual decks out there.

  • PathMaker: when Zurgo feels the urge to crush bones, it is always easier to give him a clear path, and for that I have a lot of control. Exile, sacrifice or destruction, everything is good to let him one shot someone.

  • Ramp: I do not have a lot of ramp in the deck, however, Zurgo inflicts his first damage on turn 4 and turn 3 if my opponents make me ramp a bit. As the deck is casual, I feel fine with that timing.

  • Support: having a threatening creature indestructible only on your turn can bring on some hate as soon as you end your turn. That is why I decided to put some cards that can either protect Zurgo or just sacrifice it for a retaliation when there is nothing left to do.

  • Boost: simple. You boost Zurgo, he kills someone, you are happy with that, but you need more... so you kill someone else until nobody is left alive but you.

  • WrathAdvantage: when Zurgo is alone on the board and there is no land left, it is usually a good advantage. In this category I also put my indestructible creatures in there as, if someone decides to wrath, I am still in the game, or at least, I have an advantage over some of my opponents.

Feel free to suggest cards as long as you think they belong in here. Do not bother suggesting overly expensive and recurrent cards as I would not be able to afford them.
