The basic win-con for Slimefoot is to generate saprolings which in turn become sacrifice fodder to activate the commander's "deal damage to each opponent ability." To generate saprolings, creatures like Verdant Force and Tendershoot Dryad create tokens each upkeep, while spells like Saproling Symbosis and Second Harvest allow the number of tokens to quickly explode. A host of old thallids serve as additional generation and sacrifice outlets for Slimefoot. Of course; all of these token sources are pared with doublers like Doubling Season .

Slimefoot's explosive ability is enchanced with creatures like Zulaport Cutthroat and Blood Artist . If the meanboard is contributing cards; Butcher of Malakir and Exquisite Blood add intensity to the effect.

A secondary theme and win-con of +1/+1 Counters takes advantage of cards like Corpsejack Menace and Doubling Season to make monstrous threats of cards like Mycoloth or Kalonian Hydra with support from cards like Winding Constrictor and Contagion Engine to boost both +1/+1 Counters and all of the spore-counters.

A relatively cheap mana-curve paired with a mana base that avoids loss of tempo should enable multiple spells per turn, quick development of board state, and aggro strategies. This deck has a handful of ways to "mushroom" out of control or even go infinite and "enough-inite"; especially once saprolings can be converted into mana to make more saprolings: with things like Ashnod's Altar or Utopia Mycon .

Other cards prioritize big repeatable card draw, tutoring, spot removal, with a little bit of mass recursion. Board wipes are counter-intuitive running a creature and enchantment heavy deck, so this deck runs spot removal instead. The presence of Slimefoot on the battlefield punishes other players (and sometimes removes them from the game) for casting wipes like Damnation . In practice, as long as most of the land base remains intact; the deck can rebuild a board-state and regain momentum with a nice reliability.

I'm especially interested in cards that you might think this deck is missing and what cards they might replace.
