AKA Build-a-Bear Beatdown

This is pretty much G/W Voltron with Wilson as our commander. He has a ton of stuff going on already for a 2 CMC card and he's every easy to load up with counters. We want to make him stickier and keep him around as long as we can so he can stay swinging.

This deck swings more political than a typical voltron deck might but it remains pretty straight-forward. We want to encourage people not to attack us while we get armored up. Noble Heritage as a repeatable partner lets other players decide to add counters on to their own things. If they do that, they have paid tribute to our bear king, and we shall show them mercy. We will keep them in mind and can repurpose spells like Invigorate, Forgotten Ancient, and Duelist's Heritage to help out our loyal subjects.

We can also keep in mind who hasn't paid tribute to the bear king. We get to decide who benefits from Gluntch, the Bestower. We also have a few ways to make ourself the monarch. Getting damage past Wilson should be pretty tough to begin with, so maintaining our monarch status shouldn't be too hard. If someone swings at us to take away our status, we will remember that when we go to combat.

At the time of writing, this deck runs about $70. Removing Court of Garenbrig and Court of Ardenvale brings the cost down by about $25 more, keeping this deck very budget-friendly and allowing for 2 free slots to play around with (enchantments/enchantment creatures should synergize well).

If we made great friends during the game, we can go the pacifist route and still win via Celestial Convergence, Halo Fountain, Epic Struggle, Helix Pinnacle, or Barren Glory (bear-en glory).

A good spin on this commander might be going otherwise creature-less...maybe another day.

Thanks for checking this out!
