Key ideas:

• Tagline: Big direct damage and wheels (the soul of red)
• Neheb, the Eternal gives you {R} in your second main phase for each 1 life your opponents lose in the first part of your turn. So we do big damage, then even bigger damage in second main!
• Mana Geyser to get big mana equal to opponents' tapped land count, even if Neheb isn t on the battlefield. Jeska's Will can also jump-start our cycle.
• As many instants and sorceries as possible to do a good bit of damage just to your opponents.
• Another large set of spells that do damage to all creatures and players.
• Quite a few X spells for single and multiple targets. Elementalist's Palette has great synergy with these.
• A number of damage doublers to make everything hit harder: Furnace of Rath, Dictate of the Twin Gods, Fiery Emancipation. Toralf, God of Fury   gives our direct damage spells trample, absolutely brutal with a damage-doubler out.
• Repercussion makes our 'all creatures and players' spells truly painful for decks that have gone wide. Does damage to a player equal to the damage to their creatures. Also two different steps for damage doublers to do their work. For example, 5->10 to creature, 10->20 to opponent. With this and damage-doublers, definitely do the math before choosing X - you don't want to kill yourself along with everyone else!
• Several wheel effects to get card draw when we've burned through our hand: Wheel of Fortune, Wheel of Misfortune, Khorvath's Fury, Incendiary Command, and Reforge the Soul.
• A bit of a struggle on the removal front in red. We do a lot of damage, but not many exile/destroy effects. This small set is quite important: Chaos Warp Scour from Existence Ugin, the Ineffable and Ugin, the Spirit Dragon.
• Darksteel Plate Champion's Helm and Swiftfoot Boots to help Neheb survive to second main, so we get that mana-producing trigger!
• A number of spells to try to protect our combo: Tibalt's Trickery, Conqueror's Flail, Red Elemental Blast, Pyroblast, Wild Ricochet, etc. Copying our own spells can protect our combo too, making it that much harder to counter what we're doing: Primal Amulet  , Wild Ricochet, Increasing Vengeance.
• A few flashback spells, including Past in Flames which gives other instants and sorceries in your graveyard flashback. And we have a lot of instants and sorceries! 25 sorceries and 12 instants!
