Update #1

-2 Think Twice
Thought process: The only match that a Think Twice is going to help me with is against another control deck. Drawing either a Snappy or a Charm will greatly improve my odds against an Aggro deck.

!!!CHAMPION DECK!!!

11something, 12 years ago
Ok... not sub-300.. Or $350 even. I know some of the prices quoted here are a little high, but I'm not sure what I should be cutting. I really like the Sphinx's Revelation. I could hypothetically cut them for roughly $10 off each. I suppose the next place I would look would be cutting two Tamiyos in favor of some Jace Memory Adept. That would be a net savings of around $35... Closer.... Next up is the Sub $300/$350 Bant Control Attempt

Faster, still token based, with more emphasis on creatures than before, less focused on populating, however populate is still utilized.

Stalker
lil_cheez, 12 years ago
as suggested by babbonatale, I put 4 copies of Invisible Stalker in this deck. To make room, I removed Sun Quan, Lord of Wu (that is going to my EDH deck) and Goliath Sphinx that is in the sideboard for longer matches. I tested this deck three times and it seems okay, with the stalker helping in the earlier game and being more effective than the big ones in late game.

Decided Lightning Greaves put in more work than Hall of the Bandit Lord, so I switched them out.![Thalia, Guardian of Thraben feature for Prison/Tax [[Thalia EDH]]](http://static.tappedout.net/mtg-cards-2/innistrad-crimson-vow/thalia-guardian-of-thraben/femme_fatale-thalia-guardian-of-thraben-vow-16356612110.png)

Removed Rakdos Charm , Killing Wave and Rakish Heir. Need to find something to fill a faster nitche in my 3cmc slot. Im always gunning for the VNH/Captain as a finisher but could use some more advice.
munky5, 12 years ago
When I started I wanted to make some huge deck about detaining, human and enchantment combos. But I realized it was to difficult. So I reduced it and the humans continue to be the main part of the deck, though, there's some evidences of what it was once ago.

Not sure why people are still seeing it as being labeled budget... I removed it from that hub awhile ago but I'm not sure how to change it then.

BearHugsHurt, 12 years ago
Still tuning it sometimes it does not take off till turn 4 or 5 which with some aggro decks will be a major issue
bamfbanki, 12 years ago
I removed revenge of the hunted for more silverhearts. Sided pyreheart wolf instead of scorned villager
Change to Aggro?
FinnHuman, 12 years ago
I think I'm going to make this deck a little more aggro, less focused on the EtB/LtB combos. Its very midrage-ey right now, and I know Selesnya aggro decks are doing fairly well competitively right now. I'm going to throw in some rancors, maybe some silverblade paladins, not sure what I'm going to take out for it though. Any thoughts on this?
Test #5
introvertigo, 12 years ago
I played once more against my friend's MB vampires to which he had made some slight modifications and won 2-1. In one game, I missed a critical land drop and couldn't handle myself against growing ranks of vampires. One victory was an easy one, but I won the other with just one life left.
First Testing Grounds

Okay, so after seeing my deck in a 4-player-multiplayer game I came to the conclusion, that I really don't play too much with creature cards in my graveyard. Normally I try to keep it empty and bring the creatures back. For that reason I took out most cards that work on that principle. As another matter of fact, I noticed I need more mana producers, card drawers and library peekers. So I went for some different cards, especially those that give me scry (love Tel-Jilad Justice). And I went for more creatures with deathtouch and/or flying and/or reach.
Gave it up
strateupjee, 12 years ago
Friend of mine is getting back into magic and he wanted a mill deck, so I said what the hell and gave him the deck xD I don't play it as much as I would like and now him and I will enjoy joint custody of our Magic love child (lolz) so he has changed it to a zombie mill, and I have to say it has kicked my ass lol, so ill be updating it to what it is now once we get the list finalized xD
Test #4
introvertigo, 12 years ago
I played against legacy R/U Storm deck. It didn't use many of the most powerful cards available to the format and I won by 2-1, with one game lost to the fact that I missed a critical land drop and after running in circles for a while, I was obliterated by Ignite Memories. But in other games, I managed to stabilize in time, sweep the board and remove creatures and then proceed to deal damage.
Test #3
introvertigo, 12 years ago
I played against standard-legal R/U Izzet deck with focus on milling, graveyards and Epic Experiment. Even with a crappy hand, I managed to stabilize and won every game pretty easily, but I must attribute some of my victories to the fact that the power level of standard is much weaker than that of modern.
