This is my Yisan, the Wanderer Bard EDH Deck. This deck functions much like Birthing Pod does, because it can tutor for certain creatures to accommodate for certain situations. More importantly however, I use Yisan's ability to create synergy between creatures with a 1 CMC difference.

Some of my most used combos / synergies are...

• Quirion Ranger -> Scryb Ranger -> Azusa, Lost but Seeking = Usa Yisan's ability up to three times per turn without running out of land and/or trigger landfall

• Ulvenwald Tracker -> Nightshade Peddler = Green Creature Removal

• Seedborn Muse -> Soul of New Phyrexia = Have mana open for protection and/or to allow for Yisan to be triggered more (especialy with the first combo)

• Avenger of Zendikar -> Craterhoof Behemoth = Giant creatures with trample
