Ruthless Sniper pauper EDH, discard/ cycle; control. At 1 cmc, ruthless sniper is a formidable general that gains a very early edge on the board. right off the bat, playing sniper turn 1 you ensure your opponent will think twice before playing their Llanowar Elves or their Benevolent Bodyguard and will inherently play a slower game, knowing at any moment you can cycle/ discard cards.

The deck ends up playing midrange/ control, more then often you can attack recklessly, knowing that the threat of activation from Ruthless Sniper is enough to deter blockers; and likewise, your opponent is less inclined to attack into you.

Tortured Existence is the deck's MVP. With tortured in play you can continuously cycle Grave Scrabbler into, say a Gravedigger while also whittling your opponents creatures away.

Skirge Familiar is another phenomenal card, giving sniper a free discard outlet that also pays his ability.
