Add 1 or 2 Nezahal, Primal Tide. Should synergize well with the cycling. Also I think Wasteland Scorpion would fit better than Gifted Aetherborn. Hieroglyphic Illumination is another card I think should be included here.

This is just a start FYI

Note: Add more lands as you should have at least 30+ and "Cycling" is not doing anything for this deck other than spending your manna and slowing you down, cards like Diabolic Tutor and Fabricate or Kuldotha Forgemaster will cost you close to the same and get you exactly what you want.

Take out the Wasteland Scorpion and Moaning Wall and put in Gifted Aetherborns. Fetid Pools would be a great land in this deck. Take out Cancel and put in a Disallow.

I have a version of this deck it makes them discard their hand and then uses Torment of Hailfire to win.

There is a bunch of creatures that do not follow your -1/-1 counter scheme such as Wasteland Scorpion, razaketh, the foulblooded , Colossapede, Samut, Voice of Dissent and Doomed Dissenter

If anything get yourself a playset of Obelisk Spider and Nest of Scarabs since it turns your -1/-1 counters into something other than creature removal.

I changed it up a bit, you can look at it's current status here:6 million, choose one. I was wondering though, should I get rid of the two Bontu's Monument's? and if so, should I put them in creatures i.e. 2 more Merciless Eternals or 2 additional Wasteland Scorpions? Or should I put 1 more card each for Abrade and Magma Spray?

The closer you can get to 60, the better. 60 is ideal for any deck. 24 lands is pretty low--it's perfect for a 60 card deck, but closer to 70 and you'd want more lands. Wasteland Scorpion and Frontline Devastator are the weakest creatures in the deck, so I'd start there for cuts, then maybe also take out 2 Bontu's Monument.

I would strongly recommend going down to 60 cards. Because of the only-4-of-a-card limit, every card you add over 60 reduces your chances of drawing your best cards. I would recommend cutting the Assembled Alphas (doesn't really impact the board enough), the Trespasser's Curses (same, a 1-life drain doesn't really do enough to prevent your opponent from playing creatures), 2 of the 4 Wasteland Scorpion (useful, but 4 is probably too many), and the 3 Frontline Devastators (a 3/3 for 4 isn't that good). I would also recommend replacing the Shocks with Magma Sprays (graveyard recursion is strong in Standard now), and the Blur of Blades with Abrades (much more versatile). In any case, I love this deck. Have fun with it!

cyclinggamer on -1/-1 counter with cycling

So, this starts slow. As most experienced MTG deck builders will tell you, this deck has too high of a mana curve. FNM tweaked it a bit from a suggestion playing against another standard work in progress deck.

Went 1-3. Lost to spirit tribal 0-2, didn't even scratch it playing a practice 3rd game. Next played red burn/agro, went 1-2, taking him down only when he mulliganed down to 4 cards.

Beat a Bolas the deceiver deck 2-1. Of note, this deck can cycle on two lands, but only just, edging out the non-cycle deck by going through cards and getting to lands and useful small spells faster.

Lost the final round to temur energy, 1-2.

Vile Manifestation grows very quickly, and is a bigger threat than I initially realized. I've added creature removal in Fatal Push and Bontu's Last Reckoning, also trading out all the Shadow of the Grave, a Curator of Mysteries, a Archfiend of Ifnir, and New Perspectives for the Wasteland Scorpion and the Nimble Obstructionist. Razaketh's Rite seems nearly useless, as when I'm casting it, I need to be casting the archfiend instead, or some other jankiness.

So, will update the card list in the deck and post how effective the updates are for HOU showdown.
