Budget Nath Stax. The game plan of the deck is to keep opponents in topdeck mode while pumping out tokens ( Parallel Lives ), which can also be sac'd for value / keeping the lock. The Deck wants to ramp up fast to Nath, then quickly empty hands.

It wins through either powering through tokens faster than the opponent can keep up due to stax effects ( Pox , Death Cloud , Smokestack , Desolation , Descent into Madness ), or by overwhelming the enemy with trample on a token army ( Overwhelming Stampede , Overrun , Beastmaster Ascension ).

It's important to be emptying hands quickly and effectively as you will be drawing a lot of hate. The ramp is heavy and, importantly, creature and land based, running no rocks and very few artifacts. One reason is, we need lots of lands and creatures for when Death Cloud goes off. But also, Nath's weak point when Death Cloud goes off is artifact mana opponents may have, which is why the deck is packed with mass artifact removal ( Bane of Progress , Seeds of Innocence , Creeping Corrosion ).

Null Rod is an optional upgrade for higher budget that would shine in this deck, as is Bitterblossom .
