Krenko, Mob Boss is a commander I love to hate. Twice before I have concocted a no-brainer goblin tribal EDH and twice I have de-sleeved it and put the goblins back in their hiding places. Why Krenko, why can I not commit to you and your ilk?

Why has Krenko been Dissolved twice you ask? Probably not, but I'll address that anyways. In my EDH circle, he was not the only Krenko deck in rotation. Though the decks were not entirely carbon copies, you end up with the "Zero points for originality" feeling. Also, another opposing commander that shows up fairly often in my group is Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, which I have found to be Krenko's mortal enemy.

This time around is an "in response to" Krenko's former weaknesses and unoriginality. I have less goblins than my former incarnations, I run more artifacts that will hopefully address the Elesh-phant in the room, and I have more burn, should I find myself in that -2/-2 board state with just a little more damage from sealing the deal. And, more card draw via Howling Mine, Staff of Nin and Slate of Ancestry. I really do not want to go the way of Flashfires because that is a blatant cheap shot against the antagonist and would end up a dead card in hand more often than not.

Any of you red players out there have a goblin friendly suggestion on WWYD against Elesh Norn?
