Boros is my favourite colour combination in Commander and the new commanders do not disappoint: Feather, the Redeemed was a powerful Boros commander managing to bring card draw to the combination in a natural way. Gerrard, Weatherlight Hero was very versatile and had tons of combo potential. Now, the new Haktos the Unscarred goes back to the basic combat style we’ve grown to expect from Boros but has really intersting mechanics with it. He is essentially unblockable and invincible to most things making him a perect Voltron commander with 6 power, needing only 1 more to kill opponents in 3 hits. He is also quite a good representation of Achilles whic is reather cool. Big downside; equiping him is hard because of his protection. So I’m running Equipments with mana costs equal to 2,3 and 4 so I each equipment can equip Haktos the Unscarred 1/3 times. I’m also running flicker effects with the appropriate mana costs so I can always reroll the dice or prevent him from attacking if the board can easily deal with him. I have a few Questions: does Gisela, Blade of Goldnight work with Haktos? And can Masterwork of Ingenuity be equipped by Haktos if the equipment it is copying has the correct mana cost? Please answer below.
