Maybeboard

This is capable of pulling off turn 2 wins. Warning this deck will not make you any friends! In fact you may lose one or two. It can be fun to play for you but the people across the table will not be impressed as you swing at them with their own cards. Use at own risk!

This deck is all about using tutors to assemble combos as quickly as possible. Once you have infinite blue mana you can play memnarch and steal every permanent on the board

For any of these scenarios once infinite mana is achieved you only need to use memnarch to steal and permanents and soft lock the game, use any tutor to get walking ballista (infinite damage) or staff of domination (lab man win)

Hand 1

T1 darksteel citadel/seat of the synod, sol ring, mox opal, isochron scepter- imprint dramatic reversal

T2 infinite mana use memnarch staff of dom or walking ballista

Hand 2

T1 island, sol ring, mox opal, pili pala

T2 island, grand architect, make pili pala blue, use memnarch staff or walking ballista (if you didn’t have mox opal turn 1 you could tap grand architect with his own absolute for 2 mana and play felowar stone as long as an opponent can tap for blue)

Hand 3

T1 darksteel citadel/seat of the synod, sol ring, mox opal, metal worker.

T2 staff of domination. Reveal 3 or more artifacts in hand, Infinite colourless mana, draw deck and lab man or walking ballista win

Artifacts have always been my favourite part of this wonderful game. I started playing in mirrodin back when affinity for artifacts ruled standard. Memnarch hails from that plane, once created by karn from the mirari, a powerful artifact , that he had intended to by the planes guardian. Memnarch went insane and started collecting souls from other planes onto Mirrodin hoping one of those souls would ignite their spark and become a planeswalker. He created a machine that would allow him to harness that spark and artificially install it in himself making himself a planes walker. While he was not successful he very nearly achieved his goal. This amazing back story plus his gameplay are why I run him as my commander. Arcum dagsson might be more consistent and tefferi might be more competitive, but memnarch is the mono blue commander most dear to my heart.

I hope you enjoy the deck!
