This is my first mono red deck. I'm trying to keep the cards in it fun to play against, so I'm avoiding mass land destruction and effects like that. This deck is trying to be really good at combat and the creatures that I kill in combat get exiled, instead of going to the graveyard. Or I can just start shooting creatures down with damage abilities from outside of combat. I use Braid of Fire + Magmatic Core to shoot down multiple creatures on the field and keep the field clear. Braid of Fire also works well with Kumano, Master Yamabushi to do some damage during upkeep.

This deck has trouble dealing with enchantments. I feel like Perilous Vault and Apocalypse are a bit overkill. I decided to go with good old Steel Hellkite for now.

To try and overcome some insane land ramp decks in my play group, I decided to add in a little bit of land hate since that's something that Red excels at, even if it is frowned upon. I know it makes people salty, so I almost wanted to add in Rain of Salt and when I cast it, say "You feeling salty bro?" just to lighten the mood a little.
