Commander is an increasingly fast format because of the cry for not ramping on turn 2 being a death sentence. You can still Farseek off of one of these if you play it turn 1. The only turn they're bad is turn 2, and if you have to play it tapped turn two, you should probably have mulligan'd your hand. I'll play Deserted Beach over Seachrome Coast in any commander deck. Which doesn't mean I'll play it, to be honest, I think it goes the two-colored equivalent of:

Tundra

Hallowed Fountain

Sea of Clouds

Glacial Fortress

Horizon land if available (Horizon Canopy and such)

Mystic Gate

Hengegate Pathway  Flip

Prairie Stream but only with fetches

Celestial Colonnade

Adarkar Wastes

Irrigated Farmland better with fetches, cycling still solid

Deserted Beach

Temple of Enlightenment

Azorius Chancery

Seachrome Coast

Port Town

Glacial Floodplain higher with fetches, of course

And then all the tapped minor downside stuff like Razortide Bridge or Tranquil Cove or a Campus for enemy colors, whatever fits your deck for synergies could raise those too of course.

That's the general order I'd consider them to include in my 2-color deck if available, I guess.

amicdeep on Budget U/W Blink (Soulherder)

looking at this from a super budget pov there are a couple of cards i would seriouly consider

Flickerwisp has been printed into the ground and with soulherder on the field he gets rid of your opponents needed land, plainswalker or creature for the entirety of there turn. hes also a good card to flicker your own stuff and is a solid flying attacker. most importanly hes been printed into the ground the last few years and sits between 5-25 cents (if you run a couple flip lands like Umara Wizard  Flip or Skyclave Cleric  Flip and target them with the flicker effect it turns them back into creatures for some solid board advantage or as a combat trick with Ephemerate

Professor of Symbology with a wishboard of

1x Environmental Sciences, 1x Mascot Exhibition, 2x Reduce to Memory

can get you out of most situations reduce kills anything for good science means you can keep a 2 land hand with prof and not regret it and mascot is a solid wincon if the games gets grindy. also prof is a solid looter if you get all your wishboard cards and the whole paxkage is under $2 (i still use this in my $100 mono white flicker list, and the deck has top 3 a few time and this card is the decks stoneforge mystic and is defiantly the next best thing)

1-2 copys of Lavinia of the Tenth this is a hard lock with soulherder for many deck. and pro red and the deck having instant speed flicker spells card be very difficult for some decks to deal with.

Hallowed Respite may be worth running as a 2 off, its a flicker spell that pumps or taps down problematic blocker and can be done a secound time late in the game when you need the value the most.

if you can find it in the budget id try very hard to run 4 Reflector Mage its basically the reson to run blue (alongside soulherder) for none budget versions of this list, and ist much much cheaper that Skyclave Apparition

on the oust issue this may seem strange but it may be worth considering Baffling End for 2 resons, 1 it can be flickered by flicker wisp or similar to exile extra things. 2 they stay permanently exiled, i wont be ideal for every situation but may well work for some.

if your planning on upgrading to moder staple id recomed 2 copys of Winds of Abandon before path. 1 its a solid path effect. 2 in the mid-lat game its a one sided boardwipe and there for can take the slots for cleansing nova while being more useful (also its a boardwipe that exiles meaning if you have a soulherder on the field it can easily be a 5-5/6-6 after casting this)

the secound cards id upgrade is Skyclave Apparition its hands down the most powerful card im my $100 version of the deck and is often my best draw. this and a Ephemerate or soulherder and you basically have a board wipe

if you do end up running 4 path 2 winds, then it can be worth running Knight of the White Orchid which makes Glacial Floodplain or Irrigated Farmland worth running (they also work great with and trigger Port Town)

id also consdider adding a manland to your landbase. on a budget you have either Frostwalk Bastion, Faerie Conclave. if you have a little more then Cave of the Frost Dragon is probably worth the upgrade. and if you willing to spend a little more on a modern staple Celestial Colonnade is the cheapest its ever been in the history of the game $3.5/$4 ish and definatly worth 2-3 of.

hope one or two of these suggestions help a little

For the earlygame Dragon's Disciple might be a good choice: Comes into play as 2/4 and protects your dragons via Ward.
For your lands I recommend exchanging Alpine Meadow, Arctic Treeline and Glacial Floodplain for a mix of Frontier Bivouac and Mystic Monastery: they produce 3 colours each and the Plainscycling from Timeless Dragon is less impactfull.

Hey, well done for first deck on a budget, nice Demonic Tutor. You've definitely done research into the better budget cards for Varina and adding win condition combos. Liquimetal Torque + Binding Mummy is interesting tech.

I see Wonder which is great with Varina, but it's going to be difficult to consistently activate Wonder needing an Island land with only 4 Islands + Wilds/Expanse for a total of only 6 Island sources. There's several dual lands here that could be replaced by budget Island dual lands to help Wonder and make Marsh Flats better.

Some budget land upgrades to consider:

Command Tower and Exotic Orchard are two staple rainbow lands. By adding Sunken Hollow and Prairie Stream then Marsh Flats has an Island dual land to search for that can potentially ETB untapped.

Graveborn Muse is amazing repeatable draw with Zombies and the life lose doesn't matter much because of Varina. Muse can repeatedly refill your hand at the beginning of your turn giving you lots of choices for looting with Varina. Vile Entomber can tutor for Wonder or Gravecrawler and put it right into your graveyard. Patriarch's Bidding is another spell for mass reanimation of your Zombies.

Shepherd of Rot can wreck opponents life totals, who don't have life gain and it doesn't hurt you as much because you have a lot of life gain with Varina. If you're trying to win with Rooftop Storm then Lazotep Plating is excellent instant protection. Hordewing Skaab is a Zombie upgrade for Eternal Skylord to give all Zombies you control flying not just tokens.

Good luck with your deck.

Hey, really well done on a budget.

Lavinia of the Tenth affects all opponents which can detain a lot of aggro creatures. Lavinia wrecks against Krenko, Mob Boss by detaining all Goblin tokens, most Goblins as well as Krenko and having protection from red. Stonehorn Dignitary can deny your aggro opponent from attacking. Knight of the White Orchid 's first strike can help against aggro and it's a two drop source of Plains land ramp to blink.

For the manabase consider cutting some basic lands for these: Nimbus Maze , Ash Barrens , Bant Panorama , Esper Panorama , Glacial Floodplain

Good luck with your deck.

enpc on Improving Budget Atraxa

With the release of the new snow dual lands from Kaldheim, you have access to comes-into-play-tapped-always fetchable lands on a budget. Glacial Floodplain and the like.

By combining these with cards like Wood Elves , Nature's Lore , Skyshroud Claim , Farseek , Into the North , as we ll as the set of bad fetches ( Flood Plain , Bad River , etc.) then you have an ok mana base which you can eventaully directly swap shocks into (though you may have to swap in some snow basics or drop Into the North ).

In general though, part of the reason that the deck is a bit slow is that you're lacking ramp. you have 8 pieces that I counted and typically you want double that. Additionally, the higher the overall curve or the more complicated the mana base (and Atraxa isn't an easy one) then the more ramp you want to pack. I know you run a high artifact count however you still have a lot of coloured mana symbols to deal with.

You also don't have a huge amount of draw-card either. Given that the majority of your draw is cantrips (which work much better whne you have lots of them or in conjunction with a bunch of other draw), you may want to look into a few repeatable draw engines.

Hey, good budget version of Vania. I'm impressed by your card sense on a budget.

Wonder is nice when you can easily discard it with your Commander. Giving all creatures you control flying is powerful. When Wonder is in your graveyard you need an Island on the battlefield to activate it this makes Island/Swamp and Island/Plains dual lands helpful and upgrades for the manabase.

Pools, Grave and Fountain may be out of budget range, but I mention them for possible future land upgrades.

Some other budget lands upgrades to consider:

On a budget Talisman of Dominance is not worth $8. Could replace it with Azorius Signet or Commander's Sphere and use $8 to improve the manabase. It's actually more important that the mana rocks can make the two other colors because consistently on the battlefield you'll have basic Swamps.

Good luck with your deck.

Hey, good upgrades so far of the precon on a budget. Nice upgrades of Guardian, Peregrine, Lavinia, Jailer, Dignitary, Reflector, Swords, Counterspell.

Brago + Strionic Resonator + Sol Ring is infinite blink by copying the combat damage to player trigger of Brago. Another budget combo is Brago + Archaeomancer + Walk the Aeons for infinite turns by repeatedly recurring Aeons with Archaeomancer. Aeons is reprinted in the newest set Time Spiral Remastered thus I expect it will fall in price a week after when the set is released, it's already down to $5 at TCGPlayer.

You can take real advantage of Brago's ability to blink some budget enchantments.

Some other budget cards to consider adding:

If interested I offer more advice including cuts to consider. Good luck with your deck.
