With the new rule that makes Elenda’s ability viable as a commander, I wanted to build a deck to try it out. This was built from the bones of an old Teysa deck I made, with a couple of tweaks here and there. The result is a lot of fun to play.

Other than sac outlets and creatures with death triggers, most creatures in this deck are meant to be expendable in order to kick Elenda’s ability before sacrificing her to go wide. Bonus points if you have Teysa Karlov or Annointed Procession on the board when that happens.

I tried to find a good mix of sac utility with cards that allow sacrificing without having to pay mana. Being able to sac at instant speed sort of gets around needing to have hexproof when you’re okay with your creatures/commander dying.

Obvious staples like Grave Pact and its synonyms help this deck really pop off late game. Blade of the Bloodchief is also pretty fun when you can drop it early.
