Had an idea to do a silly deck with all the clones. It'd be fun, right? And when you kill people with their own horrible monsters, well, that's what you get for using them. In EDH. Where huge monsters go to get let off the leash... Anyway, yeah, silly clone deck. Gotta run it with Dr Lazav, he's too cool not to.

So then you've gotta put a whole bunch of mill cards in too. Partially just to feed him but also 'cause it's funny. Mill isn't generally viable in EDH. Decks are too large and opponents too numerous. Intentionally run almost no kill spells, why would a silly clones deck need them.

Turns out it doesn't. Turn 4 field Lazav. Turn 5 hit them with some mill, lots of cheap options. Lazav gets bigger and bigger, more evasive, even harder to remove. Had one game, a 1v1, where my friend threw down 5 boardwipes just to kill Lazav. Was actually a fun game that one.

Anyway, I built this deck to be silly fun. And it's funny, at least for the controller. I really enjoyed it, I'm happy with the build and enjoyed playing it but it wasn't silly. And most people I played with hated it. Something about playing their fatties for an effective 2 or 3 mana and then hitting them with it. So now this deck is being retired. Gonna move the whole clone package to a Damia deck or something. Somewhere it can hopefully be a little sillier.
