Kykar creates creatures so why would you run any on your own? Better to run Planeswalkers, Artifacts, and Enchantments, right?

This deck is made with a rule format that friends of mine and I occasionally run called "Standard Deviation". Basically, you cannot run spells that were never printed in a standard legal set so nothing created only for Commander or Modern. Also no Un-cards, though that's a different soapbox. Even with that restriction, the only cards (as of the time of this writing) that you really miss out on for the theme are Aria of Flame and Fiery Inscription. Once you've gone infinite, though, other cards can fit the bill and you can likely get to them without much issue.
