Chandra, Hope's Beacon

Legendary Planeswalker — Chandra

Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, copy it. You may choose new targets for the copy. Activate this ability only once each turn.

+2: Add two mana in any combination of colours.

+1: Exile the top five cards of your library. Until the end of your next turn, you may cast an instant or sorcery spell from among those exiled cards.

-X: Chandra's Hope's Beacon deals X damage to each of up to two targets.

Spiteful Banditry - ramp and a mini-wrath. Seems pretty good

Gimli, Counter of Kills - has the potential to deal certain opponents a lot of damage. Good for board wipes. Is Dwarf

Fiery Inscription - strong instant/sorcery synergy!

Erebor Flamesmith - some more bonus damage. Is dwarf

Fear, Fire, Foes! - decent multiplicative damage.

Display of Power - strong copier, if you're looking for more

Wrenn's Resolve and Reckless Impulse - quality cheap impulse-draw in Red. Doesn't get too much better than this for it's cost. Well worth noting

Nahiri's Warcrafting - weird removal/impulse-draw hybrid. Worth noting

Into the Fire - another modal damager/card selector. Seems all right

Invasion of Karsus  Flip - mini wrath that turns into an instant/sorcery payoff. Not terrible

Invasion of Regatha  Flip - mini Torbran!

Invasion of Kaldheim  Flip - pretty decent card advantage on both sides, plus damage. Well worth noting

Chandra, Hope's Beacon - probably too difficult to defend planeswalkers in this deck, but this one has all the synergy

Bloodfeather Phoenix - probably doesnt fit the deck perfectly, but it has the synergy. Better in 1v1

Curse of Opulence - very strong ramp, can get some heat off of you

It doesn't copy the actual spells, it only copies abilities that are triggered by casting spells. So your Thermo-Alchemist will untap two times for casting one Seething Song.

If you want to draw additional cards due to Veyran's ability, you need Archmage Emeritus, it doesn't actually matter what instant or sorcery spell you cast.

Chandra, Hope's Beacon and Double Vision can actually copy the first instant or sorcery you cast per turn an additional time, but that's because of the ability on the planeswalker and the enchantment, not because of the spells you cast.

The "only once per turn" clause from Chandra, Hope's Beacon means that you won't be able to trigger it additional times. Note that if that clause wasn't there, that it would work as you intended.

Just to also clarify what TheOfficialCreator was eluding to, as it didn't read super-clear to me - with Yarok, the Desecrated on the field, when a single land enters play, Omnath, Locus of Creation would give you 4 life and - not 8 life. The additional trigger isn't a case of "the same ability triggering a second time", but more a scenario of "this clause being met a second time, and whatever happens because of that, happens" - and that is a good rule of thumb for getting your head around these additional trigger scenarios. Note however, that this Omnath/Yarok scenario is entirely different to your Chandra/Veyran one, as Chandra specifically doesn't allow her ability to trigger a second time in a turn.

With the upcoming release of March of the Machines, I'm looking at potential adds for my Veyran, Voice of Duality deck. One of the cards that looked very interesting was Chandra, Hope's Beacon, but that passive has me scratching my head. Is Veyran's ability able to make Chandra's passive trigger a second time on each spellcast, or does the "only once each turn" prevent that interaction from working?
