This is my flagship Commander/EDH deck. It's not designed to be competitive as much as it's designed for me to have fun playing with friends. Having said that, it's hard for a devoted Spike/Johnny hybrid to not put tricksy nonsense on the table. I'm not running any of the most notorious Niv-Mizzet combo pieces in an attempt to (1) not get hated off the table while still running my preferred commander, (2) ensure that my friends and family continue wanting to play Commander with me.

Enter the Infinite is usually the keystone of wins I get from this deck. If Niv-Miz is out, that's usually quite a chunk of damage and if necessary I can drop either Lab Maniac/Brainstorm or Beacon of Tomorrows to seal the deal. However, sometimes I win off of tokens from all my token generators.

The deck is fragile enough and takes long enough to get its engines going that most people I've played it with don't actively hate it, which is definitely a Commander consideration.
