Vile Redeemer

Creature — Eldrazi

Devoid (This card has no colour.)

Flash

When you cast Vile Redeemer, you may pay . If you do, put a 1/1 colourless Eldrazi Scion creature token onto the battlefield for each nontoken creature that died under your control this turn. Those tokens have "Sacrifice this creature: Add to your mana pool."

Thanks for posting, IHATENAMES. I don’t think I follow your reasoning for some of the suggestions. I imagine I’m missing something, but wouldn’t Chatterstorm or Rise of the Dread Marn just create a bunch of tokens? This is a viable win strategy, true, but that’s what the main combo engine already does (infinite flying bat tokens).

Vile Redeemer offers infinite colorless mana when coupled with the engine, so I suppose there’s value there in case a boardwipe happens, but feels a bit redundant. I’d need guaranteed access to as well. That could pose problems. But I’ll add that one to the maybeboard, it has potential.

I don’t think Body Launderer or Death's Oasis are a good fit at all, not without a complete rework. I’d have to either drop a color or try to add a third color too, which has its own issues.

Suggestions:

Look at upgrading the plan. I like Enduring renewal but having a win with it seems difficult. Maybe a storm card or 2 can help this. Say Chatterstorm perhaps maybe a way to abuse many creatures dying A few ideas:

Vile Redeemer and Body Launderer and Rise of the Dread Marn and Death's Oasis seem the most interesting to me.

Solid list. There are some great cards worth looking at which give this kind of list a lot of versatility- and a lot of the rares from Nightpack Ambusher era are cheap. Spectral Sailor, Mizzium Meddler, Lutri, the Spellchaser, Nimble Obstructionist, Faerie Vandal, Quickling, Wildborn Preserver, Vile Redeemer.

With Cathar Commando/Hushwing Gryff/Containment Priest, you could probably string together a strong w/u or w/g list. I remember messing around with Mantle of Leadership for this in the past. Sigrid, God-Favored+Niambi, Esteemed Speaker point to a legendary tribal option if budget legendaries show up for the archetype.

For the Stompy version I would start by cutting Ruination Guide, Pitiless Plunderer, Sifter of Skulls, Blight Herder, Brood Butcher, Emrakrul’s Hatcher, Catacomb Sifter, Drowner of Hope, Awakening Zone, Etchings of the Chosen, Eyeless Watcher.

If you put in Rings of Brighthearth it combos with Basalt Monolith to make infinite mna. Both Monolith and Rings are 3 CmC and artifacts so they are tutorable with the same tutors you have in here for Fist of Suns. With infinite colourless mana Dimensional Infiltrator will be able to exile your opponents libraries, Essence Depleter can drain out the table, and Prophet of Distortion will let you draw your library. Rings doesn't have a lot of synergy with other cards in your list BUT if Golos was your commander it has a seriously powerful ability that would be awesome to copy.

Eternal Scourge + Food Chain is another combo you can consider which will make infinite COLOURED mana for creature spells and have infinite EtB and LtB triggers so this will end a game with Flayer Drone or Vela the Night-Clad in play. If you wanted to abuse the mana you would need Cloudstone Curio or a non-eldrazi bouncing creature as all the eldrazi bouncers are processors and it is unlikely your opponents will have an infinite pile of exiled cards.

I suggest adding in Pathrazer of Ulamog , Barrage Tyrant , World Breaker , Dread Defiler , Endless One , Not of This World , Rapacious One , Reality Smasher , Thought-Knot Seer , Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre , Ulamog's Crusher , & Vile Redeemer as suitable eldrazi stompy options. Barrage Tyrant and Dread Defiler get a special mention because Fling is an amazing effect that can give you the reach you need to close out a game or off a player hiding behind a pillowfort.

Here is a list of support cards off the top of my head: Sarkhan's Unsealing , Temur Ascendancy , Commander's Plate , Mana Maze , Cultivate , Kodama's Reach , Rampant Growth , Ugin, the Spirit Dragon , Everflowing Chalice , Thran Dynamo , Rishkar's Expertise , Return of the Wildspeaker , Garruk's Uprising , Hunting Grounds , Sneak Attack , Animar, Soul of Elements , Mana Geyser , Mirari's Wake , Ugin, the Ineffable , Show and Tell , Terror of the Peaks , Warstorm Surge , Alena, Kessig Trapper , Ilysian Caryatid , Momentous Fall , Greater Good , Sacellum Godspeaker , Selvala, Heart of the Wilds , The Great Henge , Eldritch Evolution , Energy Tap .

I like the idea.

There is an interesting option for this list- Dictate of Kruphix / Faerie Vandal . Howling mine decks were a thing with a similar 'disrupt while you kill them' engine a long while ago.

Mizzium Meddler is an interesting sideboard tech if boggles style enchantments or hammer gets popular. Shambleshark is cute but rarely effective. Vile Redeemer is an interesting answer to wipes.

Good luck with the brew.

Vile Redeemer is great if you're willing to add more lands that make .

Need more variety in your free sacrifice generation. Don't worry, I'm here to make tons of terrible and unnecessary recommendations! I'm just going to throw them down in a list instead of coming up with a little blurb for why each one is good (you're smart enough to not need that).

Smothering Abomination , From Beyond , Awakening Zone , Revel in Riches , Pawn of Ulamog , Catacomb Sifter , Emrakul's Evangel , Rapacious One , Spawning Bed , Spawnsire of Ulamog , Vile Redeemer , Brass's Bounty , Contract Killing , Curse of Opulence , Gild , Gleaming Barrier ... cont'd.

Cards like Blisterpod and Eldrazi Skyspawner provide Eldrazi Scions for mana. Try Vile Redeemer too if your deck can afford some creatures dying. Endless One would be a good choice for when you have a lot of mana on your hands.
