Arid Archway

Land — Desert

Arid Archway enters the battlefield tapped.

When Arid Archway enters the battlefield, return a land you control to its owner's hand. If another Desert was returned this way, surveil 1. (Look at the top card of your library. You may put that card into your graveyard.)

Y'all know what I mean, and y'all know how it goes!!

Bouncelands (Karoo, Guildless Commons, Arid Archway) and Lotus lands (Lotus Vale, Lotus Field) keep your land count low so you can catch up!

more lands 36-39, ditch the temple of the false gods, Everglades is risky as it needs an untapped swamp, maybe try Arid Archway.

Wayfarer's Bauble is great ramp when you don't have green.

my main concern for the build in general is there is a LOT of big mana costs, not a lot of ramp, and lots of reanimation spells without early cards to fill the graveyard, meaning that the cards you bring back are ones you've already played and lost, not the end of the world, but still means they're creatures coming in later, rather than creatures you're getting sooner and cheaper, by milling them or entombing them early, to get back cheap with the reanimation spells.

to put it simply, consider adding ways to put your own cards in the graveyard with early mill or discard effects, so reanimation happens sooner, and get some more ramp incase you have to play these cards at full price.

other than that there is some really amazing black enchantments here, and you could check out enchantment support in black to see if there is any extra synergy or value you could get off of playing so many enchantments.

Consider High Tide for ramp and/or with spells that can untap your Islands Turnabout, Frantic Search, Snap? Just Tide + Turnabout + you control 4 Islands could give you 10 mana turn 4. Mystic Sanctuary is a fantasic land that's an Island. Castle Vantress isn't an Island, but it's a good land for instant repeatable scry.

Consider Thought Vessel and/or Decanter of Endless Water? Mana rocks for ramp that can also potentially give you no max hand size before you control Nezahal. Reliquary Tower is a land for no max hand size.

Consider Forensic Researcher, Kelpie Guide, etc.? They can untap a land or a land that can make more than 1 mana Arid Archway, Guildless Commons even the same turn the land ETB. They can also untap a mana rock or even better a mana rock that can make more than 1 mana Sol Ring, Worn Powerstone, Palladium Myr, Thran Dynamo, Hedron Archivefoil, Gilded Lotusfoil, etc. They can also untap Nezahal to be a blocker.

A spell advantage blue has are instants that let you look at top X cards of your library and put one or more of any of them into our hand (any card(s) into hand is the advantage). Consider Impulse, Memory Deluge, Dig Through Time, Supreme Will, Thassa's Intervention, etc.? When you're casting instants on opponents' turns then Wavebreak Hippocamp is repeatable card draw. Being a 3 drop you can more safely play it and leave up mana for instant opponent interaction.

Here's some tips to improve your deck. Id tone down your lands from 47 to 38-40 lands. Maybe add some bounce lands like Gruul Turf, Guildless Commons, Arid Archway fetch lands like Evolving Wilds, Terramorphic Expanse, Myriad Landscape, Mountain Valley, Wooded Foothills Prismatic Vista Ect. Theres's way more, but I aint gonna list them all off. That way you'll have more ways to trigger your landfall and in the case of fetch lands, thin your deck out.

Some random cards id look into possibly adding would be Fight Rigging, Bear Umbra Mutant's Prey, Ancient Animus, Pounce, Prey Upon, Pit Fight Boxing Ring Rancor, Alpha Authority, Sticky Fingers, Fireshrieker, Whispersilk Cloak ect

Most of my recommendations either give you access to -fighting (Which would trigger Wolverines +1/+1 counter trigger even when if its not your turn. That way you wouldnt have to rely on someone attacking you and blocking) -Double strike (Since Wolverine doubles damage without saying "Double Strike", He would go from a 2/2 that doubles damage so 4/2 effectively. To a 2/2 that attacks twice and doubles damage, so effectively an 8/2) -Protection (You want him to be really hard to kill even though he has regeneration, plenty of removal still has "This creature cant be regenerated" slapped at the end of it. So Aura's that make Wolverine either even harder to target or respond to before he mops the floor with your opponents the better.

Probably more bounce lands. Arid Archway Coral Atoll Guildless Commons Jungle Basin are the ones you could run.

Also, Avenger of Zendikar, Druid Class, Khalni Heart Expedition, and maybe Zendikar Resurgent. Engulf the Shore for a boardwipe. Fecund Greenshell is a good buff card in a Landfall deck. Life and Limb Natural Affinity and Rude Awakening can be close a game.

Spoiler Schedule

Insatiable Avarice: In mono-B, this is draw three for three, which is a pretty good rate. K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth gets Demonic Tutor + draw two for

Fortune, Loyal Steed: From reading the story, I thought he looked like the "horse" from Elden Ring so this art was pretty startling

The Gitrog, Ravenous Ride: I kinda wish he got some serious flavor again. The original premise of "edgy hypno toad" was what made him funny, but now it just feels like WotC is milking that fan reaction for all it's worth.

Great Train Heist: solid Relentless Assault variant, but I kinda wish the last one said "each" for EDH purposes, even if I know it targets for the sake of crime:ing

Gisa, the Hellraiser: WotC throwing legendofa a bone, I guess.

Olivia, Opulent Outlaw: Why would becoming a criminal make Oliva gain white of all colors? I assume this is in preparation for Assassin's Creed, but it's still pretty weird. (For reference: White outlaws within Mardu's color identity)

Final Showdown: The best spree card? In voltron decks this is basically an instant-speed Plague Wind for seven mana that doubles as a situational savingspell. I think the first mode has a lot of situational uses, but it's something you have to keep your eyes out for.

High Noon: Rule of Law upgrade for Boros+, although Deafening Silence is still a thing

Arid Archway: idk if colorless decks needed a second Guildless Commons, but sure. Would rather have a mono-colored cycle tbh.

Tomb Trawler: I'm surprised how slowly Grenzo, Dungeon Warden is accumulating these kind of cards; Cogwork Archivist missed the mark in more ways than one

Roxanne, Starfall Savant: was kinda confused about the second ability until I realized she triggers on both ETB and attack. Powerstones obviously work too, plus e.g. Svella, Ice Shaper. Edit: Oh and Treasures too, obviously

Stubborn Burrowfiend: Ahhh! What the hell is the flavor supposed to be with that art?!

Kambal, Profiteering Mayor: Pretty cool with e.g. Saw in Half, Wedding Ring, and Tombstone Stairwell

Geralf, the Fleshwright: still not a good mono-U zombie commander but seems real good in the 99

Lilah, Undefeated Slickshot: so basically a multicolor Taigam, Ojutai Master/Ojer Pakpatiq, Deepest Epoch  Flip? Not bad.

Caustic Bronco: Could have been Dark Confidant on steroids, but mediocre thoughness and no evasion keeps its attack trigger from being reliable

Calamity, Galloping Inferno: somehow just a normal horse, not Elemental or anything.

Eriette, the Beguiler: gogo Enchant permanent! Also, every Licid is now a Dominating Licid

Obeka, Splitter of Seconds: suck it, The Ninth Doctor!
