The key to EDH is being able to adapt to what your opponents are throwing out you. Liliana is the mistress of adapting to the situation. She has plans, within plans, within plans. If Plan A isn't working, move on to Plan B, or Plan C, or... you get the idea.

Plan A - Forced Discard

Liliana is going to force your opponents to discard their hands. If the don't have cards in hand, they don't have cards to use against you.

Plan B - Forced Sacrifice

Liliana doesn't like your opponents creatures, she's isn't going to let your opponents keep them. This deck is filled with ways to force your opponents to sacrifice their creatures.

Plan C - Distribute -1/-1 Counters

liliana, death's majesty and other cards will add -1/-1 counters to your opponents' creatures. Get rid of those pesky creatures that are giving you trouble.

Plan D - Sac Engines

We need a way to sac our creatures in order to flip Liliana, Heretical Healer   to Liliana, Defiant Necromancer  . These cards give us a way to do that.

Plan E - Masochistic Rewards

There is a lot of sacrificing, discarding, and -1/-1 counters going on. Now it's time to make those hurt your opponents even more and benefit Liliana even more.

Plan F - Recursion

We are sacrificing a lot of creatures. In fact, we may even be forced to sacrifice something that we actually need. To that end, we've got plenty of ways to bring those cards back.

Plan G - Token Generation & Pump

Tokens provide us with a cheap outlet to sacrifice and cheap blockers. Additionally, we can throw some big numbers at our opponents.

Tutor

We've got a lot of answers in this deck. But sometimes we need to be able to get the answers we need, right away.

Draw

We are going to need to keep the cards flowing.

Scry

And we need to make sure we are drawing the right cards.

Ramp

We need to keep the mana flowing to utilize the various abilities we have.

Plan X

You can't plan for everything? B%@$(@ !!! These cards give us a few options to deal with what we weren't expecting.

Be ready to show your opponent's that Liliana is ready to deal with all their shenanigans and she is having none of their $#@* !!!
