After a long losing streak and watching some deck techs that caused me to realign my thought process, I am returning to a configuration a little closer to the original one, with combat and life gain being a bit more balanced. My intent for a long time has been to laser focus on getting combat damage across. A video on aggro decks I saw recently suggested adding a second way to deal damage to your opponents, such as an aristocrats sub theme. I decided to go with weaponized life gain. Most of the games I've won or come close to winning have had the Indulging Patrician out. I would gain life and drain everybody for 3 on my end step. So I added things to make gaining life and draining my opponents easier, like the extort on Tithe Drinker and Blind Obedience. Blind Obedience has the added benefit of causing opponents' creatures to enter tapped, helping an aggro player maintain combat momentum. And Vito lets me shoot opponents when I gain life. More tinkering is planned (I'm considering ways to add some goad). And Unbreakable Formation would be huge, especially paired with Aggravated Assault.
