Flying

At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice a creature other than Demon Taskmaster.

Yeah I find that you need to time things carefully when it comes to settings things up for both having Jon and a gift out; at least being able to bluff a counterspell is nice. Demonic Taskmaster has been cool in that it's actually OK to cast early on its own.

Gleeock on Creature Donation Ideas

After a leaked commander came out I need some suggestions for good creatures to donate to opponents in . Details as follows: End step I get to give opponent my creature, goad it rest of game, give it +2/+2 counters, IMPORTANT creature cannot be sac'd. Lastly, whenever a creature I own but don't control attacks I draw a card.

So far, I have: 1. Demonic Taskmaster 2. Plague Reaver 3. Abhorrent Overlord 4. Consuming Aberration

I'm not sure that Phage the Untouchable works with Blim's ability - she doesn't come into play when you give her to your opponent, so she won't trigger. If you have her in the deck just as a bomb, I would recommend swapping her out for one of the cards below:

I really like this deck! I used to play a Standard Rakdos Control with Captive Audience, so I was really excited for this commander, and your deck is the most optimized one I have seen yet!

Galimao I had considered it but ultimately decided against it in favor of Isareth the Awakener. The mana cost on Immortal Servitude seemed too high for me as it would be a 6 cost spell to bring back Demonic Taskmaster or Bontu the Glorified. Isareth the Awakener on the other hand can bring them back the next time I attack if I want and she has a decent body with deaththouch to boot. Now don't get me wrong Immortal Servitude would be great to get the one costs back, but I'm unsure it would be good for much else. Another thing is that I'm not really all that interested in having the deck be a reanimated heavy deck, which I feel it would become with Immortal Servitude. Another issue I find with servitude is the lack of versatility it has. I could maybe swap it for Altar's Reap however as I'm unsure if the deck really requires card draw. Actually, now that I think about it I might like it in the sideboard for those long drawn out matches. What do you think about putting, oh I don't know 2 or 3 in the sideboard? Don't think I'll put it in the mainboard though.

AlexHeinrichs on Human Sacrifice (Need Help Improving!)

I remember playing something like this when I first got into magic back in Innistrad, so i think I can help you out.

I don't know how competitive you want to make this so i'll just try to improve the list based on your strategy and won't change the theme of the deck. First things first, let's trim your list a bit, you have a bunch of 2 and 3-ofs instead of playsets of the stuff you really want (4x Doomed Traveler, 4x Lingering Souls, 4x Demonic Taskmaster).

Second, I would cut the stuff that has synergy with the deck but don't really help you win the game (Unruly Mob, Thraben Doomsayer) and things that are way too expensive. Ravenous Demon  Flip is sweet but not so much when you have 3 of them in your hand along with some Reaper from the Abyss. So I would cut reaper completely, cut Ravenous Demon  Flip to 2 at most, and cut Increasing Devotion (5/10 mana is too much).

Now we start upgrading some things. For 1-drops, we just got a good one in guilds of ravnica for this style of deck in Hunted Witness, so I would definitely play that alongside Doomed Traveler. Demonlord of Ashmouth is really good in a deck like this, and he's the demon I would likely run instead of the 5 and 6 mana ones.

Lastly, we need interaction. Orzhov Charm is a good choice, you can use it as removal, to save one of your demons or bring back one of your 1-drops for extra fodder. Tragic Slip is a great removal option here, since you're saccing your own stuff all the time it's basically a 1 mana Murder. I probably wouldn't even play card draw in this deck, but if you want to play it go with Altar's Reap, its instant speed and can help trigger morbid for slip and high priest.

I know your manabase is super budget but i would highly recommend Caves of Koilos, it's dirt cheap and it's gonna help a ton.

I'd play something like this: 4 Hunted Witness, 4x Doomed Traveler, 3x Skirsdag High Priest, 4x Demonic Taskmaster, 2x Xathrid Necromancer, 4x Demonlord of Ashmouth 4x Gather the Townsfolk, 4x Lingering Souls, 4x Orzhov Charm, 4x Tragic Slip 7x Plains, 4x Scoured Barrens, 8x Swamp, 4x Caves of Koilos.

Combo: T1 Doomed Traveler (or Hunted Witness), T2 Skirsdag High Priest, T3 Demonic Taskmaster, T4 sac Doomed Traveler to Demonic Taskmaster to trigger morbid, tap the token, taskmaster and high priest to make a 5/5 demon!

That's it, i hope it helps!

I like this list a lot better. Skirsdag High Priest is a little slow- I'd look for a card with more immediate board impact (the tap in the cost is a major drawback, as well as the lack of ability to self-proc morbid. It can work, but three cards and 3 mana is a lot to pay for a 5/5).

From here on its playtesting and feeling out the local meta.

I'd look at testing cards like Costly Plunder, Demonic Taskmaster, Evolutionary Leap, Sakura-Tribe Elder, Spawning Pit etc. After you've played a few matches you'll have a better idea what the deck feels like and where you should be looking to make fixes.

Pandaka on Razaketh's Demon Army

First, you will need a lot of ramp to get this deck going with all your demon and being able to maybe play multiple demons a turn making this deck able to sweep in with a win. You will also need more creatures that are to be sacrificed to Razaketh, the Foulblooded. Razaketh and Liliana's Contract will have you lose life so you will need some way to regain any lost life. Some cheap demons I've found are Ammit Eternal, Baleful Ammit, Demonic Taskmaster, Grinning Demon, Herald of Torment, Master of the Feast, Mindwrack Demon, Razorjaw Oni, Scourge of Numai, Soulcage Fiend, and Soulstinger.
