Play Yedora, start sacrificing things for value and ramp.

She doesn't really need protection, as you make so much mana that you can usually just recast her if she dies. That said, she is vulnerable early. Try to have at least two sacrifices on-demand the moment she comes down to pay for tax next turn in case she's immediately removed.

COMBOS

These are variations of the combos that have the fewest prerequisites to initiate. Depending on boardstate, different pieces may be substituted.

+ Yedora, Grave Gardener + Any free sac outlet + Any 1morph or less creature

Result: Infinite landfall, infinite death triggers, infinite morphs.

• 1 cost or less morphs: Birchlore Rangers, Branchsnap Lorian, Kin-Tree Warden, Proteus Machine, Temur Charger

• Free sac outlets: Phyrexian Altar, Ashnod's Altar, Altar of Dementia, Demonmail Hauberk, Spawning Pit, Zuran Orb

Notes:

• If you are able to generate at least 2 mana per loop, any morph may be used EXCEPT for Nantuko Vigilante, as it will destroy your own artifacts eventually and end the loop.

• Demonmail Hauberk can target the creature it is already on while also sacrificing that same creature to pay for itself. The equip will fizzle, but we don't care about that.

• Grafted Wargear may be used as an outlet, but it requires two cheap morphs.

+ Yedora, Grave Gardener + Land Animation + Any free sac outlet

Result: Infinite landfall, infinite creature etb, infinite death triggers.

• Land Animation: Ambush Commander, Living Lands, Life and Limb, Nature's Revolt

• Free sac outlets: Phyrexian Altar, Ashnod's Altar, Altar of Dementia, Blasting Station, Demonmail Hauberk, Grafted Wargear, Spawning Pit, Zuran Orb

Notes:

• Demonmail Hauberk can target the creature it is already on while also sacrificing that same creature to pay for itself. The equip will fizzle, but we don't care about that.

• Concordant Crossroads will allow this combo to generate infinite mana.

• Living Plane is a cool three-hundred bucks. Get it if you like.

• Use with care. If Yedora is removed and the board gets wiped you are done. Pick up the cards and wait for the next game.

+ Sporemound + Life and Limb

Result: Infinite landfall, infinite lands/saprolings. Possible game draw.

WARNING: This combo starts an infinite, interminable loop. If you do not have a way to break it or win at instant speed it will force a game draw.

+ Derivatives

Infinite draw:

• Any death-based combo with Fecundity.
• Skullclamp as sac outlet.

Infinite mana:

• Any mana-neutral infinite landfall with Lotus Cobra or Tireless Provisioner. If lands are not creatures or have haste, Stone-Seeder Hierophant will also work.

• Phyrexian Altar as the sac outlet will generate infinite mana for most combos.

Evolutionary Leap as sac outlet will pull all creatures from deck to hand.

Perilous Forays as sac outlet will pull all basics from deck to field.

WINCONS

+ Combat-based Wincons

Least desireable. Very easy to interrupt or wipe. Risk can be mitigated with Concordant Crossroads.

Any token generator alongside an infinite landfall combo to create infinite tokens.

+ Helix Pinnacle

Helix Pinnacle

Use with any infinite mana combo.

Harder to disrupt than combat-based strategies but still vulnerable as you will need to wait until your next upkeep.

Ideally, use Emergence Zone to flash down in opponent's end-phase and initiate infinite mana combo at instant speed.
