The smiling kami of the crescent moon! One of the best commanders in my opinion. The game plan is relatively simple. Cast Kami of the Crescent Moon turn 2, and draw into fun! The beauty behind this commander is the fact that no one wants to bother you. Everyone draws, everyone wins. Now, the next part of this is to be as unimposing as possible. You want to keep a low profile, only defending yourself until you get some win conditions out. To do this we run a lot of counter magic, combined with huge bounce effects to keep things away from us. This keeps the target off our back until we are ready to unleash the plan. The main way to win with this deck revolves around getting several pieces in play, and since we have a lot of ways to buy time, this tends to be very easy to do. The infinite turn loop we can create involves the following pieces. Tezzeret the Seeker Future Sight Mystical Tutor Psychic Spiral Time Warp Isochron Scepter Learn from the Past and any mana rock that taps for 2 or more. The way this combo works is to get an Isochron Scepter in play, exiling Mystical Tutor. Then you use the Isochron Scepter to search for Time Warp. Cast Time Warp off the top of your library thanks to Future Sight. Next we use Tezzeret the Seeker to untap the mana rock and Isochron Scepter. Use Isochron Scepter to search for Learn from the Past and shuffle Time Warp back into your library. Repeat this process using Psychic Spiral every other time in place of Learn from the Past and boom infinite turn loop. A lot of the time, I tend to keep both Learn from the Past and Psychic Spiral in my hand to start off, in case someone has a Nihil Spellbomb or something that could interrupt the loop. How we win can be simply thru milling with Psychic Spiral but we run Sphinx-Bone Wand and Metallurgic Summonings to get some damage going. Since I always play edh in a group, this prevents people from becoming too bored waiting to be milled. We also include a fair amount of creatures that Clone other threats to help us get to the late game. One important note is that this combo is not essential to win, it is just the most often way I find myself winning, we have a ton of viable threats at our disposal. We also run a fair amount of redundancy to make sure that if something is removed, we still have pieces to get through the game. I can say of all the commander decks I have made, this one gets the most hate. I have been banned from 2 groups because of how reliable it is, and that is saying something against decks that run atraxa, meren, derevi, and the like. Give this deck a try! If you love control and love the idea of essentially winning out of nowhere this deck is for you. +1 this deck if you like it, I am always open to suggestions, and feedback. I will say don't worry about the low land count, I have yet to have it be an issue. Good luck and have fun playing!
