Goal is to ramp with a shitload of scions while shutting everyone down with smokestack or descent into madness.

Also, a shitload of these creatures enable the nim deathmantle combo. It makes me wonder why I never see many Meren decks using creatures that create scion/spawn tokens on ETB.
