Garnet, Princess of Alexandria

Commander / EDH GW (Selesnya)

Promanmtg76

(Update: This deck previously used Satsuki, the Living Lore as the commander. With the release of Final Fantasy, Garnet has been a fantastic commander in Satsuki’s place. I’m even removing Satsuki from the list. All that being said, the deck remains the same functionally, but with the benefit of having a counter-removal effect in the commander itself in G/W.)This deck is an enchantress deck based around using sagas instead of normal enchantments. It's a grindy value deck that can win in a number of ways. The win conditions in this deck include Historians' Boon and/or Sigil of the Empty Throne tokens, a combination of the integrated Phyrexian package + creatures, or Fall of the Thran to destroy all lands while ahead on board and seal your opponent's fate. Garnet, (the commander) has the ability to tick sagas back along with 3 other cards in the deck have the ability to tick sagas back. Garnet allows for sagas to stay on the field for a long time getting immense value. You can even pick and choose what sagas you’d like to let go forward or tick back.Manipulating lore counters on sagas strategically in this deck can result in some disgusting interactions. 1 tip I will provide for my deck is that you should only play Fall of the Thran if you're ahead on board with creatures and have the ability to tick the saga back every turn to continuously destroy lands. This interaction effectively freezes the game in the current state of which the board is and allows for a series of attack steps while your opponents can't cast spells. There are plenty of mana-generating cards in the deck to allow us to cast spells even with no lands in play :) Have fun and I hope you enjoy my build. I've spent hours and hours playtesting and revising this list to be a very consistent strategy.
