Necramus on Gonna Need A (Myrkul)

king-saproling Hello there! Thanks for stopping by and throwing these at the wall.

So, I originally had all 3 of these in the starting pile and cut them when I was trimming the deck down to size. So, I do have some thoughts. Lol.

Firstly, I think City of Death is the best of this lot. It's a fantastic card, and it if had any synergy with creatures, I'd have likely kept it in. The cut came down to, "Had I rather slam this with 3 mana or a hatebear/removal (aka- something that actually affects board state)?" The pettiness in me won. This deck was super hard to trim down for (if there were a 125 card format, Myrkul would thrive).

Secondly, I think Three Blind Mice is a good card in a more generic way. It didn't make the cut due to the same reasons listed above, as well as the token creatures being unneeded/ non-bo with the commander. The last step of the saga likely will never put a +1/+1 on anything meaningful, as the creatures are likely to get sacced so they can stick around as enchants.

Lastly, I think Second Harvest is a win more card. I think it helps in board states where you're likely already winning, but doesn't do much to dig you out of a hole or solve problems the deck has.

I appreciate the good suggestions!! Keep 'em coming!
