Ok so normally when I start building a I check EDHREC for recommendations of cards and themes however this partner combinations only theme was equipment???????

When I first saw Akroma, Vision of Ixidor I noticed her ability says "At the beginning of EACH combat UNTIL THE END OF THE TURN".

So with more combat phases your creatures will continue to power up each combat.
