Cube represents a non-canon plane, thematically anchored in pre-Colombian south america. The conceit is based on several empires (players) at war. The cube should encourage multi-color decks, and color combinations create empires by describing how they are powerful.
Desire is to make the colors play slightly differently to their usual roles; red will ramp harder than green, blue will have much of its broader control shipped out to blue and black, etc
Color- Themes
White: The People (Humans & Tokens), Architecture (Defensive Cards), The Desert (Tempo, Strange Ephemeral+)
Blue: Hydraulic Empire (Board Control), Rain (Card draw and removal), The Sea and Sky (Morph, Flying, Hexproof+)No Cancels
Black: The Dark Corners (Graveyard), Disease (Removal), Ritual Power (Auras, Extort+)
Red: Destruction (Burn), Rebirth (Rituals, Card Draw), The Spirit World (Elementals, Pump+)
Green: Vastness (Land Drop), The Wilds (Massive Fucking Creatures, Creature Acceleration+), Plenty (Propagate, Tokens, Card Draw). Crucially no Mana Elves
Artifacts: Disruption, Equipment, Innovation
