• Introduction:

The forces of darkness are knocking at the city's door. As you see civilians flee in terror, buldings start to catch on fire. You flee as the rest of the people to the inner core of the town, to the fortress. Then you hear it. An armonic, loud, horn blasting on the wall. And another. And another. You go past the inner doors of the fortress, and then you see it. The endless columns of marching troops. The Legion has assembled. And it will defend the city.

The deck's theme:

  • The deck:

This is a tribal soldiers deck headed by Tajiv, blade of the Legion. The deck itself is an aggresive, tokens matter deck with some voltron subtheme, thanks to Tajic's indestructibility. You have some combos such as Worldslayer + Tajic, Blade of the Legion: you will destroy everything except tajic, and thanks to the low cmc of your deck you will most likely come up ahead. Your soldiers are very synergistic with each other, and not very expensive, but beware of boarwipes.

Tajic is one of the few multicolores soldiers out there that have relevant keywords. His batallion ability can also be triggered fairly easily with some soldier tokens, making him a formidable beater, specially if you give him trample (quite considering most of the equipment does that). His indestructibility allows us to always have something reliable on the board, and edicts, the bane of most voltron commanders, are very bad against our token swarm.

  • The deck's weaknesses:

We are considerably weak to all non-land permanent boardwiping. Even though tajic is indestructible, boardwipes that destroy actifacts will hinder our plans, as tajic is fairly small by himself. Card draw and ramp is also a known boros issue. -1/-1 commanders like Hapratra, vizier of poisons will be extremely powerful against us due to tajic dying to the counters. Mind control related effects are also our bane.

  • The deck's strenght:

Having always a creature on the board is powerful, and if our token strategy fails, we can also go voltron. The deck is fairly fast and can end most greedy value decks before they can get their engine going.
