So back in 2005 I was really into Naruto, and I played my first ever MtG draft with Betrayers of Kamigawa. So of course I drafted ninjas. I actually got most of them! I lost the draft and not long after put the game down for a long, long time. That is, until a year ago when some coworkers of mine told me about a little format called COMMANDER.

Imagine my excitement then, when C18 was announced with the first ever Ninja Commander, Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. Who cares if she is barely supported in the rest of the deck? I have the cards I need! And I did, actually. Hell, I even had an old Conspiracy laying around. So I built it. Sure, I had to drop $16 on Sensei's Divining Top, but hey, it's a staple. Also glad I finally had an excuse to buy Baleful Strix, because that card is beautiful.

This decklist is pretty straightforward and ironically, without many surprises. It needs a Cyclonic Rift, of course, and I want to add a shockland when they are reprinted, but if you offer any suggestions here please- surprise me! After all, what is a ninja without the element of surprise? Believe it!
