This is most likely the third commander deck I have ever built. I built it in 2017 after seeing the Game Knights video with Aether Revolt commanders. Seeing how Sram was performing, and knowing that's what I love in Magic (drawing cards, playing a million things, having big stuff), I wanted to build it.

Originally, it wasn't nearly as tuned as it is now. It was built with cards I already owned. I then purchased some upgrades, making my playgroup team up on me even faster than normal. My collection increased, and I upgraded again, mostly with cards from the Nahiri, the Lithomancer precon deck. After the release of War of the Spark, I made the last upgrades I'll probably make for a while. This deck is now tuned in a way I like.

Inspiring Statuary make all of your equipment mana rocks, allowing you to play your non-artifacts for cheaper. This is combined with Danitha Capashen, Paragon to make nearly all of your spells easier to cast.

Ajani's Chosen and Sigil of the Empty Throne give you chump blockers and creatures to sacrifice to Diabolic Edict -like effects along with Assault Suit .

These three combined with the following make it nearly impossible to get rid of Sram, unless it's a boardwipe which exiles:

• Guildscorn Ward , Blue Ward , Black Ward , Red Ward , Green Ward , Flickering Ward , Pentarch Ward

• Spirit Mantle , Unquestioned Authority

• Indestructibility , Shielded by Faith , Umbra Mystic , Eland Umbra

• Swiftfoot Boots , Mask of Avacyn , Grand Abolisher

Cards such as Retether , Hall of Heliod's Generosity , and Emeria, The Sky Ruin are to help rebuild after an unprepared for boardwipe.

This deck can build its board in three directions: Aura-heavy, Equipment-heavy, and Both. This is typically determined by your starting hand and what you draw, as you're more inclined to play Kor Spiritdancer and such when you have more auras, and Puresteel Paladin for equipment. This varies game to game. Sometimes I've played games where I've hardly even played any auras, or hardly played equipment. Some games I play both at lightning-fast speeds, killing an opponent with commander damage somewhere around turn 4.
