A Commander deck based on my own custom set based on the roguelike game Ancient Domains of Mystery (http://www.adom.de).

Chromium is a stand-in for Kherab. The other 99 cards are official Magic cards.

Kherab's text is as follows:

Kherab, Ward of Darkforge WUB 3/2 Legendary Creature - Dwarf Artificer 3WUB, T: Look at the top five cards of your library. You may put an artifact creature card from among them onto the battlefield. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in any order.

He's sort of an Esper Mayael the Anima, where instead of fetching creatures with 5+ power, he fetches artifact creatures.

Naturally, we want lots of 7+ mana artifact creatures to cheat out, enough to get a "hit" every time Kherab taps. And just in case we still don't get a big creature in the top 5, we want most of our utilities on artifact creatures (Burnished Hart, Phyrexian Revoker...) so that we still get something out of the exchange.

Thanks to the change over to black and blue, we now also have access to some ways to put specific cards on top, such as Brainstorm and Gravepurge.

Lastly, the deck needs to be high mana in case Kherab is incapacitated, but it is weighted toward land searching rather than mana rocks, so that if we do have Kherab out, thinning the deck will increase our likelihood of getting a big creature or even multiple options.
