This deck focuses on abusing Shadowborn Apostle more than it does on Izoni, Thousand-Eyed . However, Izoni is the perfect commander to pair with apostles.

WHY IZONI - Access to green: Earthcraft , Gaea's Cradle , Bloodbond March , Survival of the Fittest , and Beast Whisperer add so much power and reliability to the deck. - Board wipe recovery: Without Izoni, this deck hits a wall after the board is wiped. However, Izoni turns your dead apostles into 1/1 insects that you can be sacrificed for card advantage. It's really good, it takes the biggest flaw of the apostles and turns it into a strength. - Lots of 1/1 creatures: This deck abuses small 1/1 creatures and Izoni give us more to work with.

NEUTRAL Cards are put into a few categories:

Draw: You need a lot of draw to keep your hand stocked since most cards are low cmc. Beast Whisperer , Dark Confidant , Dark Tutelage , Skullclamp , slyvan library, and Underworld Connections (paired with Earthcraft )

Removal: Removal is based on repeatative abilities I can power with a surplus of small creatures. Priest of the Forgotten Gods , Attrition , and nullmage shephard.

SACRIFICE BOOSTS: Anything that gets an additional bonus from lots of sacrificing. Emrakul's Evangel , Xathrid Necromancer , Rotlung Reanimator , Bloodbond March , Skirsdag High Priest , Westvale Abbey  , and Zulaport Cutthroat

WIN-CONS:

SUMMONING DEMONS: Six Shadowborn Apostle s fetch Razaketh, the Foulblooded . Razaketh allows you to search for combo pieces. Most of the time if he hits the battlefield you won. runescarred demon is a backup in case Razaketh is already in your hand or graveyard.

ALL THE APOSTLES: Thruming stone and casting a Shadowborn Apostle has a higher than 90% chance to fetch all the apostles in your deck. Alternatively, a Secret Salvage with an Earthcraft and a Swamp can be used to play all the apostles in your hand. Or discard all the apostles to the graveyard and end of turn, and fetch them next turn with Bloodbond March or Yawgmoth's Will .

ATTACK: With all the apostles out, Beastmaster Ascension and Concordant Crossroads allow you to swing hard they turn they enter play.

DEVOTION: with all the apostles out, Gray Merchant of Asphodel deals an insane amount of damage to each opponent.

SAC OUTLET: with all the apostles out, Phyrexian Altar and Zulaport Cutthroat also drains life from all your opponent.

MANA: with all the apostles out, Earthcraft , Gaea's Cradle , phyrexian alter, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and Crypt of Agadeem generate a ridiculous amount of mana.

X SPELLS: After creating all that mana Torment of Hailfire or a Genesis Wave into a Beastmaster Ascension and Concordant Crossroads seals the victory.
