Welcome to my budget Thopter tribal Commander deck! The goal of this deck is to swarm the battlefield with as many Thopters as possible and then boost their power and toughness to deliver massive amounts of damage to your opponents.

To achieve this, I have included a number of cards that can create Thopters, such as Thopter Spy Network and Loyal Apprentice I also have ways to pump up our Thopters, with card like Tempered Steel and Urza, Prince of Kroog. I made sure to fill the deck with ways to draw extra cards and find more Thopters to put into play with cards like Idol of Oblivion and Tocasia's Welcome.

One of the key strategies of this deck is to use Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain and Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle since in total there are 38 historic cards in the deck including the commander. As for creatures with converted mana cost 3 or less there are 18, which means Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle can bring a lot of cards back to play. This gives me a powerful recursive element and allows me to keep flooding the board with Thopters turn after turn.

With the right combination of pump cards, a Thopter can become a formidable force on the battlefield. For example, if you got every pump spell on board a single Thopter can reach 17/12 in power and toughness. And that's not even accounting for Shared Animosity, Cranial Plating, or Steel Overseer. A lot of these pump cards also include helpful combat abilities to give to the thopters, I've listed them below:

Haste - Alibou, Ancient Witness,Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer, and Thopter Engineer.

Vigilance - Inquisitor Greyfax, Intangible Virtue, and Teysa Karlov

Menace - Skorpekh Lord, Urza, Chief Artificer,

Double Strike - Neyali, Suns' Vanguard

Lifelink - Teysa Karlov

Overall, this is a budget-friendly deck that can surprise your opponents with its swarm strategy and overwhelming Thopter assault. I hope you have fun playing it and good luck on the battlefield!
