My take on building around the new Alela, Cunning Conquerer! Faerie typal with a splash of flash! And rouges and goad.

I was excited to finally see a fun faerie commander, I didn't wait for spoilers to finish before building this, and after about a year of playing it I can easily say this has become one of my favorite decks to use. It is a highly interactive deck that manages to make blue black pseudo control a lot more fun for us without being punishing for other players at the table.

Once Alela is out all of our instants double as faerie producers. The goal is to use these cheap interaction spells to remove spot threats, to protect Alela, and to build up the board to ensure goad triggers so that we can sit back and watch our friends hit each other. Once players begin to get eliminated from the game, we can use our flying faeries to close out the game. This deck is a lot of fun to play, and definitely the most fun I've had playing blue black without making everyone at the table groan (too much)!
